Virginia Musolino, LMFT

Virginia Musolino, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
VA
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Virginia, who specializes in helping couples and families strengthen their relationships and improve communication. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, or patterns where conversations quickly escalate or shut down. My goal is to help people slow these patterns down so they can better understand each other, rebuild trust, and reconnect. In addition to working with couples and families, I also support individuals navigating personal challenges, including ADHD. Many of the individuals I work with feel overwhelmed by difficulties with focus, organization, emotional regulation, and follow-through, which can impact their relationships, work, and overall well-being. I help clients better understand how their mind works, develop practical strategies to manage daily life, and build systems that support clarity, consistency, and self-trust. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, creating space for individuals to feel understood while learning tools that lead to meaningful, sustainable change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can talk openly about what is happening in their relationships. I help couples and families develop practical communication skills, increase emotional awareness, and learn healthier ways to respond to conflict. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on creating meaningful, lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with getting to know you and understanding what is bringing you to therapy. During the first session, we will talk about your current concerns, relationship patterns, and the goals you hope to achieve. This helps us create a clear direction for our work together. As therapy continues, we focus on identifying patterns that may be contributing to conflict, disconnection, or emotional distress. I work collaboratively with clients to build practical tools for improving communication, strengthening emotional awareness, and responding to challenges in healthier ways. Throughout the process, my goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe exploring difficult topics while also developing skills that create meaningful and lasting change in your relationships and overall well-being.
