Vishal Kapur MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI Dr. Vishal Kapur is a fully trained Interventional Cardiologist and Endovascular specialist. He began his medical journey by completing medical school at the University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in Delhi, India, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree. This institution is one of the top-ranked medical schools in India. Dr. Kapur excelled during medical school and was consistently ranked in the top 5 percent of his class. He then pursued his medical career in the United States, completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch. His skills were duly recognized during residency, earning him a nomination to Strathmore's Who's Who for outstanding performance in medicine. Based on his meritorious record, he was selected as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Bridgeport Hospital through the Yale University Program in Connecticut. Dr. Kapur's determination to become a cardiologist was fulfilled when he joined the University of Texas Medical Branch and Methodist DeBakey Heart Center in Houston, Texas, for his fellowship in Cardiology, where he trained under world-renowned cardiologists. During this fellowship, he developed a strong interest in Interventional Cardiology and was honored with the prestigious H. Liston Beazley MD Student Clinician of the Year Award. He then completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center under Drs. Martin Leon and Greg Stone. He followed this with an additional year of specialized training in Peripheral and Endovascular Intervention at the same institution in New York City.
