“I didn't know what to expect from a new provider, but Vonda was incredible! She's relatable and fun to connect with while also being calm and professional. We got more done in one appointment than I have previously experienced in multiple sessions! She was all in the whole time, listening and asking insightful questions to get to the relevant information for my situation, but I never felt rushed. Before I went today, I told my husband this was an appointment to try out someone new. I am 100% sticking with Vonda and 12/10 would recommend to a friend or family member. If you're reading this and not totally sure about it, take this as your sign to go see Vonda!! ”

Getting to know Dr. Vonda McBride

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break. I’m also passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to overcome addiction and substance use—helping them rebuild trust in themselves and find hope again. I came into this field because I saw how powerful it can be when someone truly feels heard. As a provider, I go beyond treating symptoms—I want to help people heal in a deeper, more lasting way. Outside of work, I love walks with my dogs, traveling, strong coffee from Dutch Bros and getting lost in a good true crime book or podcast.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is calm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Clients often tell me they feel seen and safe in our sessions—like they can finally take a deep breath. I believe in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them without judgment. I'm trained in medication management, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based approaches to anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders across all age groups. However, more than anything, I lead with compassion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help people feel better.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My first appointment with you will be a 90-minute comprehensive bio-psycho-social-spiritual evaluation so I can get to know you and understand the contributors to your mental health concerns. We will also discuss your symptoms and goals. With all the information we will develop a holistic, evidence-based, patient-centered treatment plan that will help you accomplish your goals and live a meaningful life. Your follow-up appointments will generally be 30 minutes. In these appointments we'll evaluate how the treatment plan is going, make adjustments when necessary, and use evidence-based treatments to help you accomplish your goals and live a meaningful life.

Dr, McBride was a great listener and helped me get diagnosed and medicated over the phone. They did not rush me and made sure that I understood the effects of the drugs and what options I have was not a drug pusher at all.
