Dr. Elkholy earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Cairo University Faculty of Medicine. He began his residency in anesthesiology at Brooklyn New York University Hospital in 1992 and continued his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University from 1993 to 1996, including training at Jacobi Medical Center. From 1996 to 1997, he completed his fellowship in pain management at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. Dr. Elkholy has a passion for helping others in need. He is adept at providing optimal patient care while striving to help patients achieve their healthiest, pain-free lives. He communicates well with patients and families and is committed to staying current in medicine and wellness. His goal is to provide patients with the highest level of care, bringing forth dedication, skill, and a genuine desire to positively impact the lives of others. He served as an Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine from 1997 to 2000, teaching residents and fellows in pain management, anesthesia, and acupuncture. During this time, he was also the director of the Pain Management Center at the VA Hospital affiliated with Yale University. After leaving Yale as an Assistant Professor, he continued as a Clinical Assistant Professor from 2000 to 2002. Over the last fourteen years, Dr. Elkholy has been in private practice, performing pain management, acupuncture, and anesthesia. He has over 25 years of experience and has contributed various publications and abstracts to the field.
