About Dr. Walter Mendoza
Dr. Walter E. Mendoza, a bright and talented individual, has been dedicated to freeing people from their pain since 2003. A resident and member of the Freeport community for over 25 years and a Freeport High School alumnus, he has returned to provide his expertise and care to the community.
He is committed to promoting the health and well-being of his patients by personalizing the care each patient receives, using the latest and very best techniques available.
His professional and educational experiences have been recognized by fellow colleagues and doctors. Dr. Mendoza's priority is to give his patients the best care possible. After obtaining his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) from New York Chiropractic College in 2002, he continued his quest for educational enrichment and the best ways to better ease the pains of his patients. In September 2006, he began his Master of Science Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition at New York Chiropractic College.
He is licensed by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Parts I, II, III, IV, and Physiotherapy in the State of New York. He holds certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Chiropractor Sports Physician, and is Board Certified in Electromyography/Nerve Conduction Velocity. He is also a fitness trainer and has had training in infection control. In addition, Dr. Mendoza is licensed to practice in the states of Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
Some of Dr. Mendoza's pro bono and volunteer work includes conducting clinics for the Freeport Lady Devils basketball and lacrosse teams on posture, proper stretching techniques, and more. He is also a volunteer with the Psychotherapy Organization Dr. Leonel Ayala, which helps guide individuals through the recovery process from drug and alcohol abuse.

First of all I felt very comfortable from the time I walked through the door. Front staff was thorough. The clinical staff was AMAZING. Dr. Mendoza's beside manner is great. He makes you feel like you've known him forever. This is my first time seeing a D. C. I have another appointment in a week. I have faith that Dr. Mendoza and his team will get me together. Also, he takes my health insurance!!! I would recommend this office to family and friends.

I would 100% recommend this office. The staff is friendly. I haven’t been in a few months but they remember conversations that we’ve had. They make little jokes and make me super comfortable with them. They keep the areas clean. I appreciate the caring and honesty. If I’m in pain they ask me what I did & tell me to chill out if it’s something that I know I shouldn’t have been doing.

First time to a chiropractor. Had excruciating lower back pain for a month. After 2 sessions I was almost pain free. Have a 3rd session tomorrow. The staff and Dr Mendoza were all exceptionally friendly and professional. Every treatment was thoroughly explained beforehand. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Mendoza is a Freeport resident and you can tell his is a pro at what he does. EVERYONE at the office is kind, considerate, and welcoming! They have amazing machines that have been helping me with chronic back-pain and I highly recommend visiting this office. I appreciate the Ubers as well as I do not always have access to a vehicle. FIVE STAR doctor that makes everyone feel at home!

Great first appointment. The doctor and his staff were kind and professional, and there was no long wait time to be seen. He listened to my concerns and took into account my medical history before deciding on a treatment. This didn't feel like a typical chiropractic visit where you walk in, get a quick adjustment, and walk out. Electrical stim on my shoulders, massage to loosen adhesions, and then cupping before the adjustment all left me feeling significantly better by the time I left.
