About Dr. Wayne Beauford
Having grown up in a small town in South Carolina with limited access to medical care, I've always had a strong desire to treat the underserved. I was brought into this world by a midwife, the closest thing to a doctor in my community at the time. Inspired by my grandmother-a midwife-I proudly display her bag and supplies in my office. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College, completed my internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Martin Luther King General Hospital, and pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care at the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System. These experiences have deepened my commitment to providing compassionate care to those in need.
