About Dr. Wegdan Elazzawy

Dr. Wegdan Elazzawy is a board-certified pediatrician with over 25 years of experience caring for children and adolescents of all ages. She completed medical school at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University in Egypt, before completing her residency in New York City at Metropolitan Hospital. She went on to become chief resident at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. She has a multitude of work experiences in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as in the NICU and PICU. She is currently affiliated with the Brooklyn Hospital Center. She is fluent in English and Arabic. Outside of work, she loves to travel, cook, and spend time with family and friends. At ACPNY, our Pediatricians are committed to making sure that each child develops healthy habits and is up to date on immunizations to lower the risk of childhood diseases. ACPNY Pediatricians also collaborate with the Women’s Health department on meeting with pregnant mothers seeking Pediatric care within the practice.

My daughter had an 815 am appt and we were getting in the car at 845am. Dr. Elazzawy was nice and respectful. Instead of poking and prodding she asked if it was alright for her to do what she needed to do. She was Fast and efficient. I would definitely return back to her
