“Dr. Hua is a knowledgable and non-judgmental therapist. Even though she doesn't specialize in my treatment areas, she has made a commitment to educating herself on topics that are important and relevant to me and my treatment. She has also offered multiple modalities of therapy, including EMDR. Her flexibility with my scheduling needs and confusing insurance plans has been above and beyond, and I have continued working with her through several insurance changes with minimal disruption to my care. I'm grateful for her sense of humor, grounded and solutions-oriented approach, and genuine kindness. ”

“I was nervous going into the session with Dr. Hua because this was my first therapy ever. She patiently explained the process and even though it took me a few sessions to get the hang of it, she always made me feel comfortable. I go on rants all the time, but Dr. Hua knows how to organize my thoughts insightfully which makes me feel heard and understood. I have had several break-throughs with Dr. Hua, and I hope others who are having a hard time can experience that too. I am working on taking control of my own situations and making sure that I mentally agree with the choices I make. Dr. Hua suggested things for me to work on, and they really did wonders for me. I feel so lucky to have found her, and I feel proud of the progress we have made so far. ”

Dr Hua is being extremely helpful and gives professional advice. She guided me through my worst days in a PhD program.

Dr. Hua is a gifted therapist. It is very difficult to find a therapist to connect with and I knew from my first session that Dr. Hua was different from other therapists I had met with when from when I first moved to New York. She is truly compassionate, intelligent, patient and kind. I feel comfortable sharing whatever I am going through with her and know I will not be judged and will receive meaningful feedback and advice. I can also have a laugh and joke with Dr. Hua and realize that not everything is as melodramatic as it first appears, it really helps when my anxiety runs away with itself sometimes! Dr. Hua truly helps build me up and realize my potential in a lot of ways and has opened my eyes to new healthier perspectives. I am a work in progress still and feel very fortunate to have found such an amazing therapist to support me and my personal development.
Dr. Hua is impeccably professional, possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and deeply compassionate. I've been working with her for a year now and it's made a world of difference for my mental health. She helped me to stabilize in the immediate aftermath of crisis and since then has worked with me on changing entrenched toxic patterns and negative thinking. I recommend her highly to anyone who is serious about making a positive change in their life.
I never thought anyone could help me or I would recover from trauma, but I think Dr. Hua saved my life. I always felt a great deal of compassion from her and she moved at a stable and steady pace, so I never felt rushed or like I needed to get to a new point quickly. I appreciate how she allows me to talk as much as I need to during the session, and giving me the opportunity to explain my feelings. She's the best therapist I've ever been to.
I have seen several different therapists over the years, and Dr. Hua is the only one I’ve stuck with because I really feel the difference working with her makes in my daily life. I initially came to Dr. Hua after experiencing trauma in an emotionally abusive relationship. She helped me through the rocky healing path, and we have continued to work on empowering me. I truly feel that she cares about me and is invested in my emotional growth. Dr. Hua is exceptional at helping me to identify patterns of thinking and how they directly impact my relationships. She has worked with me to develop emotional awareness to recognize when I am projecting or limiting my perspective only to the negative. She reminds me that the brain is a muscle and it’s tendencies are strengthened by where we put our focus, and on that basis we’ve worked on developing tactics to refocus my lens in difficult situations. The emotional tools she has given me have improved my ability to communicate and have helped me get through personal challenges.
I've been seeing, Dr. Hua, for over a year now and I consider myself fortunate to be working with her. Our sessions are more cognitive for my purposes (which I enjoy), as I began seeing her after an unhealthy breakup. And as a result of our ongoing sessions my life continues to change positively. I just honestly wished I started therapy years ago. However, if I did, I may not have come across her practice. I started from an emotionally stagnant place where I couldn't think of the next step after ending a relationship with my ex. Since then I have continued to make milestones I never thought I'd make in my life, with the help of, Dr. Hua, like starting my own company, enhancing my life in ways I wouldn't have done on my own, without her help. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment. It will be an investment in yourself and to all others in your life.
