The staff was attentive and organized ... They have a routine for new patients. Dr. Wang had a discussion with me and explained her philosophy and what she felt was appropriate relative to a treatment plan. I think it will be a good relationship but I will reserve judgment after a few visits ! I am optimistic about this practice!
Staff was polite and professional however Dr Wei Wang was very rude and impatient and did not appear to have the time to properly address my concerns and questions. Unfortunately will not be returning.
Absolutely horrible! we went because my husband suffered from night terrors and she had no experience with night terrors what so ever and kept prescribing random psychotic medications. When we told her which one has actually has worked in the past, for some reason she refused to prescribe it. She asked him to go for a sleep study and once he went he could barely sleep because he was hooked up to all machines and she completely disregarded that and said because he didn't have one during the sleep study he does not suffer from night terrors. As for professionalism- wow, horrible! When we walked into her office she was discussing the previous patience's issue with her secretary or who ever that woman is that sits in her office next to her. This went on for about 5 mins until she finally welcomed us. Then as I asked her questions for she said to my husband "Did you sign the form that SHE can be in here?" and that SHE she was referring to was me his wife. We almost walked out there. We ended up going to Columbia Medical center in which they specialize in psychiatry and sleep issues. There is where my husband got the proper care he needed. She is rude, unprofessional and honestly doesn't seem too knowledgable- after all she was googling what to say about my husbands issue in front of us.
The wait wasn't long and by the time I finished paperwork I was called in. The therapist, Erika, was very helpful in allowing me to tell my story and explain what was going on, validating my feelings and acknowledging any successes I had. Dr. Wang had a very good bedside manner - she listened to me and explained why she was making the recommendations that she was making. The visit felt very comfortable and cathartic.
Very caring. Professional and easy to talk to !
The visit went extremely well. I did not wait longer than 10 minutes. I was immediately seen by a therapist and then the psychiatrist. I would recommend this office for anyone seeking help.
My appt was at 6:15 I was there at 6.. she took me in her office at 6:55pm by 6:58 she was already dismissing me. I was telling her my concerns about my child all she wanted to do was give me a prescription and that's it... I had to ask her to listen to me and stop dismissing me I want the Ned's but I also want to see if my son can get behavioral therapy that can help with her ADHD . For what gave me the Ned's and said ok see in one month, never coming back to this dr
Super sweet staff, clean facility.
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. They made me feel comfortable.
Dr. Wang's standard wait time is usually about an hour even though I always made sure to book the first appointment slot of the day to avoid this. She always comes in to work late and double books patients, never apologizes for being so late. I find this behavior very unprofessional and unacceptable.
Cares about patients.
Spent most of the time with the therapist and then the doctor quickly prescribed medicine with no time to ask questions or understand the prescription. Going for another appointment to see if things get better.
I was very pleased. I was late and the doctor was waiting for me. She listened to me and upped my meds "for now". She also spoke to about the importance of vitamins and good eating habits. I have another appointment in a week. The receptionist was also nice and helpful.
I spent a lot of time with the psychotherapist and Dr Wang who was able to gain my trust and let me open up about everything that was going through my mind. They really listened to everything I had to say and helped me feel hope when I felt so helpless. I can't thank them enough.
Most unprofessional physciatrist I have ever been to and completely wasted my time going there. I think this place is actually a joke. I don't know how they say in business. Probably because they just don't listen to what u have to day and write sctriots for xanax to get you hooked to make money. They could careless about your problens. She's practically a drug dealer.
Schedules obviously mean nothing. Dr. is preoccupied and seems to hardly focus on the patient before her. Office staff are rude and approach patients publicly and roughly about co-payments and balances.
She has an assistant that is really nice. She asked all the questions and wrote them down. Doctor came in for 2 min after Q&A, ran through everything rudely and didn't help at all. She picked up a phone call and had a whole conversation in the middle of this. I would never recommend her. Unprofessional and rude.
Horrible experience Very rude She seems like an idiot
This was the worst appointment I've ever had in my life. Please avoid at all costs. If you want to waste your time and money please go here.
She focused on one aspect of my diagnosis while disregarding everything else. I felt like she didn't listen or have empathy or good bedside manner. Basically for a consult, you see one of the four therapists in your office before you see her. I actually had a better experience with the therapist than with her. They were much more empathetic and conversant than she was. My appointment was at 10 and I didn't see her until about 11:30.
She is amazing she helped me so much and understood my condition and made sure I was put on the right medication she is amazing I recommend her to everyone!
Ok I'm going to leave bullet point 1.) her staff is horrible if you need a call back or a medication.. Been waiting over a week for a prior authorization. I've been working in health care for a long time I do prior auths on a daily basis it does not take over a week. (I have Cigna ppo which shocked me that I needed a pa) 2.) If you are a brand new patient you are not priority so don't make plans you will be sitting there over 2 hours she takes everyone else first. It says arrive 15 mins earlier to your appointment, so be prepared to sit 2 hours and 15 mins to your appointment. ( Netflix 2 movies and headphones got me through it) 3.) The doctor- she is really nice however, she asks you questions and when you answer them she finishes your sentence cause clearly she has no patience for your answer! So to wrap up Netflix, have your answers ready keep them to a 2 word max and pray if you need meds they don't require a pa. Oh and her waiting room is packed so she kind of reminds me of when I worked in a psych mill where they all line up for meds (same concept) just they all wait for their 10 second appointment.
One of the worst Doctor experiences of my life.
Dr. Wang and Rachel, the therapist, were extremely kind, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. It is the first time in a while where I feel like I will actually consistently go.
Money hungry doctor who will only see you for 2 minutes to just prescribe a medication and send you out of the door. Be aware of all these psychiatrists since all they do is prescribe medication to make you depend on them so you keep coming back for more and so that they can collect your copay all the time. I got the feeling that she does not genuinely care about your wellness but instead, she cares about making money and ensure that you will continue to come so that you can get more medication.
Had such a great appointment. The staff was nice and the doctor was very thorough and pleasant. Finally! She's a real professional. I don't understand the angry reviews. When I see that, sounds like people didn't get the medication they wanted. She's a doctor and she explained why she didn't like a medication I had been on. A symptom I had been having cleared up when I stopped taking it! So pleased
This was one of the worst doctor's I've ever seen. As others have mentioned, she has you seen by one of her therapists first. Then, she sees you for a few minutes. This place is a mill. She criticized what my previous doctor prescribed, and made awful prescription recommendations. Additionally, she was extremely rude and was trying to catch me lying. For example, instead of asking if I was a smoker. She asked when my last cigarette was. I had one cigarette twenty years ago. Ridiculous.
Somewhat of a long wait but she was professional and knowleagable. Some of the people who complain about her probably expect a doctor who sugar coats everything but that's not life. This doctor is honest and to the point
I actually barely spoke with Dr. Wang. An assistant (nurse practitioner?) asked me a bunch of questions regarding my history. Then, I waited an hour for a 3-minute meeting with Dr. Wang who had prescriptions ready for me and pushed depression medicine on me without listening to me at all. Few months later, I got my thyroid checked and it turns out my hypothyroidism (very common) was causing my physical fatigue and all I needed was to go back on my vyvanse that should never have been cut off cold turkey. My current doctor was apalled at this whole level of treatment. If you don't have the time to treat x number of patients in a day, you shouldn't. I'm shocked at how easily they push such strong medication when your patient is literally telling you the problem is elsewhere. My job was affected; my life was affected. I'm just glad I was able to find someone who actually gave a dang.
I left multiple messages after seeing the doctor regarding medication she prescribed and NEVER received a call back.
I have never been consulted by a psychiatrist and a therapist in the same room. I will have to say it was unorthodox - the location was as well. It seems like Dr. Wang books a lot of clients, because she only saw me for about 10 minutes. I spent most of the time speaking with the therapist in-house Catherine. Who, was very nice and listened to my problems and really wanted to assess the best path for me. Dr. Wang was very curt and and off-putting. While I spoke, she was already writing on her prescription pad, which was a little jarring. If you want someone a little thorough, perhaps this isn't the best psychiatrist for you.
Learned a lot of information that I did not know. Informative and smart doctor.
Went in for a 1 hour session and spoke with a therapist for the majority of it. Spoke with the doctor for barely 10 minutes, where she proceeded to make drastic changes on my medication. Left feeling very skeptical about her method of evaluation and treatment.
The therapist I saw on my initial visit seemed very pleasant and was taking notes the entire time, listening carefully and attentively. She asked relevant questions, and provided me with a diagnosis that I confirmed was true from previous sessions with other therapists. When it came to Dr. Wang though, she was very cold, calculated, and seemed to be very high on her opinion of herself. Now, most psychiatrists I've been to are very confident, almost cocky in their assessments, but Dr. Wang was something like I've never seen before. She spoke to me as if I knew nothing about my current condition or self, and was very pushy with medications and plans for my therapy. She didn't even know my complete diagnosis and was already telling me to buy a book on borderline personality disorder, and to enter into a substance abuse program. I've also never had a psychiatrist demand I change my prescriptions on the first visit, especially when I stated that my current regiment was working perfectly well. She actually made me extremely anxious and uncomfortable to the point that I had to mention it to the therapist after she had left the room. I'm actually sitting here typing this review because I've never felt this upset after a therapy session. A psychiatrist/psychologist should make you feel comfortable and invoke a feeling of trust, but Dr. Wang seemed to look down at me and was very judgmental. There was no personal connection, or feeling of welcoming or trust at all. I'd like a psychiatrist to at least pretend she cares, but Dr. Wang seemed to just identify me as nothing more than another patient and dollar in her pocket.
Dr. Wang is patient and soft spoken. She has a very relaxed demeanor and wants me to be a part of the decision making when it comes to my care.
My son said that he finally met with someone that understands him. While we just had one appointment my wife and son are very pleased.
On my first visit I met with a very friendly therapist who then sat down with Dr. Wang in front of me to explain my situation. Speaking to both at the same time definitely made me feel part of the process regarding my treatment. Very personable and attentive staff. Highly recommend!
Not the best, not the worst. Long waits in a tight, crowded office. 3 min appointments. Pretty much hands you a script. Says conflicting things visit to visit as she does not remember what she said last time. Answers calls during your appointments. Not very happy.
She's excellent. Very smart and thoughtful.
We visited the Dr. Wei Wang based on reviews to do a neurodevelopmental evaluation of our child. The experience was pathetic at best. The premises were cramped and unkempt. There was no waiting room area except for some stools in the corridor. She tried to interview us infront of the child while referring to her in the third person which we thought was inappropriate, and had to stop her and get the child out of the room. She had not reviewed the material (parent/teacher behavior assessments, bio) we sent her ahead of time, and only read the first paragraph of the bio in our presence. She continually answered her cellphone during the interview. She did not want to take into consideration what we thought was missing from the school evaluation. She did not spend any time discussing what we experience at home, or in any other setting. She spent about five minutes interviewing the child and came back with a diagnosis. We will not be going back again.
It's worth the wait!!
So far. So good.
First visit very thourgh. She asked a lot of questions
Kind and caring.
She's a good doctor, just very straight forward and at times can be perceived as rude. But she is good.
the staff was very unprofessional. the dr left my appointment to go see another patient for over ten minutes on my initial visit. I waited 45 mins to even see her while she talked on the phone with the staff members. she was very rude when it came to paying. I was told over the phone by HER staff member my insurance covered my visit and she wanted me to pay up front when it was just a consultation. then threatened to bill me. I will never go back.
It went very well.
She is very busy but she is very professional.
