About Dr. Weidan (Dana) Zhao
Dr. Dana Zhao is a double board-certified, highly rated, and personable gastroenterologist at Manhattan Gastroenterology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where she received the Dean's Scholarship and Foundation Scholarship for her academic excellence. Dr. Zhao completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa and her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Rice University.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Zhao has been published in medical literature and regularly presents abstracts and presentations in her field. She has a strong passion for patient care and strives to deliver the highest quality of care, earning her an excellent reputation in NYC.
As a practicing gastroenterologist, Dr. Zhao has special interests in Women’s Health and prevention, colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, hemorrhoid treatment, heartburn, and celiac disease.
