About Wendy Meredith
Wendy Meredith, PAC, joined Dr. Barkey in 2002. Before beginning her education as a physician assistant, Wendy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Central Michigan University. She originally worked as a Clinical Nutritionist and later as a Home Care Dietitian for Hurley Medical Center for seven years. Wendy graduated from the Physician Assistant program at the University of Detroit Mercy, where she was president of her graduating class and earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. After obtaining her degree, Wendy worked for almost four years caring for hospitalized patients with a busy group of internal medicine specialists at Hurley Medical Center. While there, she also served as the Coordinator for Physician Assistant Students, responsible for scheduling and overseeing over 50 student rotations per year from more than a dozen physician assistant programs.
In addition to working alongside Dr. Barkey for over fourteen years, Wendy has expanded her knowledge by attending numerous CME courses, completing over 100 hours every two years. She passed her recertification examinations in 2004, 2010, and 2016. Wendy has attended many dermatology seminars and courses, becoming proficient in performing a variety of cosmetic procedures, including GentleLase® laser hair removal, the Lumenis One® Intense Pulsed Light device for photo-rejuvenation, Botox® injections (both cosmetic and medical), various facial peels (including Vi and Fusion), and fillers such as Volbella®, Voluma®, Vollure®, and Juvederm®.

office staff was friendly and courteous, patient with me while I dug through my purse looking for id and insurance cards. Wendy is professional and extremely personable, as was the medical assistant in with us for the appointment. I highly recommend this office and Wendy for any dermatological needs!
