Getting to know Dr. Wendy StMyers
Hello! I am a licensed psychologist practicing in Savannah, GA. I grew up in Indiana and got my B.S. from Purdue University. I did my graduate training at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. I moved down to GA about three years ago and I love it!
I split my clinical time between providing psychotherapy and conducting neuropsychological and psychological assessments. My therapeutic passion is working with people who are unsatisfied or uncertain with relationships, personal self, or life. I believe that the first step to change and growth is awareness. As such, my treatment approach focuses on getting to know the person inside and helping clients better understand themselves. With awareness, I find we can make decisions that are more authentic to ourselves and facilitate a life that is more fulfilling.
I have gotten a wide variety of experience over the years. A portion of my training was with college-aged students. I also provided therapeutic care to all ages during graduate training via community mental health and residential settings. My post-graduate specialty was in psychological assessment. In my current clinic, I work with adults suffering from relational issues, self issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health symptom presentation, as well as older adults for issues of cognitive change.

She lets you talk and then asks you if you said what she heard. She is helpful with suggestions and follows up at next session to see if her suggestion helped. I feel heard by her and she appears to really care about me as a person as well as a patient.
