This doctor was very honest - corrected a previously trumped up diagnosis from another doctor.
Excellent doctor; well-versed in spinal injuries. Pointed out an additional fracture (L5) on my cat-scan that the ER missed.

Dr. Bronson comes across competently and I felt I had a good understanding of my condition and treatment plan by the end of my visit. However, my issue comes with his bedside manner. He wasn't that friendly, was very short with me whenever I asked any questions, and my visit with him felt rushed. Frankly, I got the sense he didn't care all that much about improving my well-being and that my appointment was just an agenda item for him. I received similar treatment from his NP. I've gone to many specialists so I know it's not impossible to be both efficient and friendly to your patients. It's reassuring at least that other patients have expressed similar thoughts in these reviews. If you like your doctors to be strictly business, perhaps Dr. Bronson's approach will work for you. However, I prefer my doctors to treat me like a real person and not a client. Got the answers I was looking for but will likely not be returning.

The provider was on time — he communicated clearly. He explained everything to me in terms that I could understand. GREAT DOC
I liked Dr. Bronson very much.
Verified patient
Overall, the doctor seemed competent but seemed overly busy and distracted. It felt rushed and I was trying to ask questions since he offered very little in the sense of solutions. He recommended physical therapy for my back issues and recommended I see a podiatrist about shoe inserts because it isn’t his “expertise”. He just wrote off my symptoms like sciatica.
Nice office, receptionists an staff/xray techs were all professional and courteous. The doctor came into the office, went over my details, went over my x-ray with me, and suggested physical therapy. He addressed my issue, no more and no less. However, I did feel as if the doctor has a rushed manner in general, it was one of those visits where afterwards I was like, 'shoot I should have asked him this or that' ...so get your questions out fast. He is straight to the point and out the door fast. I do believe he did his job, but not sure if I would return or send a friend.

Great doctor. Great staff.
I met Dr. Bronson in September, 2018 when I was having debilitating, excruciating left leg pain. He worked with me to do surgery (having exhausted other avenues with no relief) as soon as he returned from getting married. He was thoughtful, analytical, very communicative , never rushed, and ALWAYS on time if not early - almost unheard of when dealing with a surgeon, and I've had more dealings than most with doctors/surgeons. The pain was gone immediately upon standing up the day of the surgery ( a laminectomy, a foramenectomy, a discectomy, and a fusion at L4/L5 level - major surgery) Recovery is never a walk in the park, but even though I wasn't allowed to twist, bend or lift for 6 weeks, I was still able to return to work (hairstylist) after three weeks. I unfortunately once again had different but similar excruciating leg, butt, back pains that started at the beginning of of 2021. After another MRI, we found that I had a similarly compressed nerve at the L3/L4 level, and once again, after 8 months of daily pain, and other unsuccessful treatments, the same exact surgery one level up was proposed. I initially said that I wouldn't do it. I had finally given in realizing that I couldn't endure a life of debilitating daily pain. Once again, Dr. Bronson did his best to do my surgery ASAP despite the birth of his first baby. Again, the nerve pain I had had was immediately gone, and this time, I literally sat up, stepped off the gurney, and got into bed unaided immediately after the surgery. Quite to my surprise, my recovery has been exponentially better than the first time as I am right now 4 weeks after the surgery, and I have already returned to work. Yesterday, I walked over 2 miles in addition to working a full day of work. The amount of pain meds that I required this time were a minute fraction of what I had to take three years ago. I was warned by clients that I'm older now and my recovery wouldn't be as quick. WRONG!. This is the first time in my 61 yrs of living that I've had any medical procedure done that actually turned out to be a better case scenario than I was told. Surgery-9/30 - discharged -10/2 - spent over two hours in the park - 10/3. Many more good things to say, but will end by saying that Dr. Bronson is a mindful, caring, accessible skilled surgeon unlike any others that I've yet to encounter. (I wrote this two weeks ago and am now at the six week point ready for PT which I think should be a breeze this go around)

Dr. Bronson was great. I would highly recommend. He answered my questions nicely and professionally. I feel like he’s handled my spine care better than any provider I’ve seen before.
I would recommend someone, if they need a doctor

After suffered severe lower back pain for 2 years, I found Dr. Bronson on ZocDoc.com and scheduled my first visit around Dec 2020. Dr. Bronson provides adequate information for me to understand the illness I suffered, he also gave me the confidence that I could be cured. Last month, I successfully completed my procedure with Dr. Bronson. Right now, I am on the path of my recovery process, the pain from my low back and both legs are gone, I am able to walk a mile daily now which I could not for more than 2 years. In my experience, Dr. Bronson and his team own deep expertise in this area and practice very professionally, from office visits, diagnostic tests, pre- + post-surgery procedures. He and his team offered help and explained all questions or concerns I had. I feel lucky I was able to find Dr. Bronson here, It is not enough to show my appreciation to Dr. Brownson and his team.

I think this is a good practice. My only reservation is that the assistant wanted to take me for X-Rays before I was examined, which seems to be due to a mix-up of some kind. But when I spoke up and asked to see a doctor first, I was seen by a Nurse Practitioner who was professional and examined me and explained what X-Rays she was ordering and why. The doctor very quickly reviewed the X-Rays, explained the results and recommended a course of treatment. So all in all, it appears to be a good practice, but it reminds me that its always important to speak up and advocate if something appears to be amiss.
Super helpful, very accommodating, informative.

First class operation. I had been seeing local pain management and so called spine specialists for a while and decided to make the trip uptown and see Dr Bronson. Glad I did. Extremely smart and was so honest about my assessment he didn't even need to see me again. The other doctors I've seen wanted me coming in constantly for injections. I was extremely pleased.

I have seen several surgeons about the same spine issue. Dr. Bronson was by far the most thorough in his exam, diagnosis & recommendation.

I had the misfortune of suffering from constant, debilitating sciatica symptoms for nearly a year. I finally decided to see a surgeon and chose Dr. Bronson, and that was probably one of the best decisions that I ever made. He listened to my symptoms during the initial consultation and we had a frank discussion about my options. I was given an honest overview of my situation and I never felt that I was pushed into one course of action or another; I ultimately settled on having surgery and the whole process (and recovery) went as well as anyone could have hoped for. Dr. Bronson managed expectations very well, stayed in touch with me after the procedure, and I always felt that I was treated with professionalism and courtesy by him and his staff. Thankfully my pain is gone and I've since returned to the activities that I had to give up because of it. I would recommend Dr. Bronson without hesitation to anyone who needs a surgical opinion for their back!

Dr. Bronson is most likely a competent surgeon. On top of that, he is highly intelligent. That said, as a Doctor he comes off as borderline arrogant and dismissive. I've had chronic pain in my thoracic spine for over a decade. I chose to finally opt for surgery after the pain became unbearable with no end in site. The surgeon I used is great, but I had to pay out of pocket so I couldn't justify going back when a new issue popped up. Dr. Bronson takes my insurance and his credentials seemed good. I told him my lower back was in excruciating pain, and he could confirm upon a physical exam that their were bad spasms in the area that was hurting. He ordered an MRI, and despite no major findings (mild stenosis and multiple disc bulges), he didn't see any reason to pursue surgery. That is fine. I can accept his medical opinion. He chose to go on about how my MRI looked like any other 36 year old's and was dismissive upon any further questions. I asked him why I had spasms that were out of control, and he said he didn't know, and told me to see a pain management doctor (physiatrist). I told him I had ever injection and procedure a doctor like that could offer and with no relief. My issue with this doctor is not his competency, or his conservative approach to surgery (though I'm fairly sure given the MRI there was justification for one), but really just his arrogance. I'm trying to tell him that I am in horrible pain, didn't ask him for any pills, just a procedure that could possibly help me, and I walked out of there feeling like he didn't even believe me despite a tennis ball size spasm in my lumbar back. Something is obviously very wrong with my back, and he really could not look past one imaging test. It was a bit disheartening. Bottom line, he's probably a good surgeon, but don't expect out of the box analysis, just arrogance.
