My name is Whitney Lipscomb, I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I founded Embrace Psychiatry & Wellness, PLLC to offer a mental health experience that is compassionate, clinically sound, and deeply respectful of your story. Why I Chose This Work
As a mental health provider, I’ve seen how trauma, stress, and silence can shape lives. I’ve also seen how therapy, medication, and human connection can restore hope. I chose psychiatric services not only to treat, but to create safe spaces where people could finally feel seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My practice is rooted in integrative, patient-centered care. That means I don’t just treat the diagnosis—I treat you. Every visit is tailored to your unique needs, lifestyle, and goals. I specialize in psychiatric evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, bipolar disorder and psychosis.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I use a collaborative, patient-centered approach that combines medication management with supportive psychotherapy when appropriate. Care begins with a thorough psychiatric evaluation, followed by an individualized treatment plan. Follow-up visits focus on symptom monitoring, medication management, brief therapeutic interventions to support stability.

The initial evaluation is $300 for a 60-minute visit, and follow-up visit is $150 for 30 minutes, based on clinical needs. Monthly subscription options may be available for ongoing care and are discussed during the initial visit to ensure a good fit. Payment is due at the time of service.

WHITNEY is excellent! She is so patient and knowledgeable. She has given me so many pointers about how to deal with my condition as well as helping me titrate my medicine medication while also makingis so patient and knowledgeable. I had a hard time finding a new psychiatrist after leaving my previous one, and the search was honestly stressful. But meeting Whitney changed everything. From the start, she made me feel comfortable, understood, and supported. Her approach is warm, patient, and professional, and I already feel hopeful about the progress I can make with her.

I woke up this morning on 09/27 to a text my appointment had been rescheduled to 8:15 am with no explanation from the provider. I was not available at that time. No call, no email, nothing. Very unprofessional and I tried to contact provider. Nothing.
