Getting to know Whitney Poppell
Throughout my experience as a nurse, I recognized a significant need for quality mental health care, which led me to transition into psychiatry. I became a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My nursing background has equipped me with the skills to connect with patients and build therapeutic relationships. My approach to care is both collaborative and empathetic. I believe the healing process starts with mutual respect, meeting each person where they are to create an individualized care plan. I utilize evidence-based medicine, brief psychotherapy, integrative therapies, and focus on lifestyle factors to help patients achieve their healing goals. I am passionate about providing high-quality mental health care and working alongside each patient to enhance their quality of life. On a personal note, I am an avid traveler and have had the privilege of visiting many beautiful places around the world. I enjoy exploring National Parks, hiking, rock climbing, attending concerts, and spending quality time with friends and family. In my free time, I cherish moments with my husband and our two cats.
