About Dr. Whitney Tan
Whitney Tan, MD is a board certified dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive and individualized dermatologic care for her patients. Her interests lie in acne, photo rejuvenation and skin cancer prevention.
Dr. Tan was raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York for her undergraduate training and earned her medical degree from the University of Miami, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha society. She returned to New York to complete her postgraduate training in Dermatology at Columbia University, where she also served as chief resident.
Dr. Tan has numerous publications in peer-reviewed dermatology journals and textbooks. She is active in teaching clinical dermatology to residents at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and the affiliated Bronx Veteran’s Hospital. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
