About Dr. William Bastian
William Bastian, a Chiropractic Physician at Ravenswood Health and Wellness, has always been interested in how the body moves and functions. “I found there’s so much to learn about how the body works as an entire system and not individual parts,” he says. This interest really took off right before getting his doctorate in Chiropractic. “It was my senior year of undergrad, when I interned with a D.C., that I truly understood that concept. Everything in the body is connected.”
William believes Ravenswood is unique. “We incorporate a whole health mentality. Chiropractic is amazing with what it can do but there is also much more that goes into health. We incorporate exercise/ personal training, nutrition and a medical model as well.”
The process of a patient starting with pain and the inability to do things to being able to move and function is what motivates William. He says, “When it comes to patient interaction, “I like seeing the change people go through, not only physically through care but how it changes them mentally as well. Once they are able to get out of pain and move better, their whole life can change.”
Outside of work, William is into sports, anything outdoors, fishing, snowboarding, traveling and martial arts. And like his interest in how the human body moves and functions, he also studies and works on the mechanics of cars and motorcycles.

I am definitely going to continue treatment with Dr. Bastian. He listened carefully to my description of the pain and numbness I felt after each adjustment and provided me with exercises to help relieve the condition. He was also straightforward with regard to the limits of the treatment, due to my severe arthritis. A+++

I was told a good chiropractor would not only listen but take images (X-Rays) to avoid guessing what the issue was. I went to Dr. Bastian for lower back pain. After an exam and x-rays he suggested a plan, which has completely eliminated my pain. The office is in a great building with plenty of parking and supported by a very friendly staff.

As someone who has had a really difficult time with doctors dismissing or underplaying my problems in the past, I was incredibly surprised to find my voice heard and my problems FINALLY understood. They listened. They asked questions. They took time to ensure I was okay with the entire process. They asked what I wanted instead of telling me what I wanted. And though my problem still isn't solved, they have assured me that they are going to take the time to try and figure it out WITH me. And for once, I believe that to be true.

Dr. Bastian and the team at RHWC are fantastic. Super friendly and communicative. Providers are very thoughtful and thorough in the learning process about the patient and in detailing the suggested care plan. I felt comfortable from the moment I entered and am excited to continue my visits here.

Setting up an appointment with Dr. Bastian as a new patient via Zocdoc was very easy and quick. During our first meeting they reviewed my current and past medical condition, and they took X-Rays. The next time we we met, we reviewed their proposed "game plan" for a treatment and discussed next steps. I'm happy with the staff and Dr. Bastian's knowledge and experience, and how they pay attention to details and provide feedback/answers to any issue/concern/question I had. I highly recommend Dr. Bastian's practice.

I've never been so unsatisfied with a chiropractor in my 15+ years of receiving chiropractic treatment, or met any chiropractor who put care & less effort into my treatment. Over my 2 visits with Dr Bastien, I spent more time in the waiting area than being treated. During my 2nd and final visit, he gave me one weak adjustment and then sat me in a chair hooked up to a stim machine for 15 minutes, and he never came back to check on me or see if the intensity needed adjusting (like any other chiropractor would). That was it, that was the entire visit. To add insult to injury, I wasn't in a private room or anything while receiving stim treatment, and so I just sat and watched him walk around the floor and bounce between caring for 3-4 different patients at once while never looking in my direction. I left at the same time as a woman whose appointment was scheduled for 30 minutes before mine, and Dr Bastien never suggested any stretches or exercises I could try on my own. Awful experience.

Dr William Bastian and his staff are amazing! Very nice and clean office. I went there for lower back pain, neck and headaches and they are all gone after the second visit adjustment. I can finally sleep through the night and wake up without pain. Since I am pregnant it was very important to me to start a treatment plan that will help me through my pregnancy. He will get you there for sure I highly recommend him and his team.
