About Dr. William Bonner
Dr. William J. Bonner was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. He is a third generation physician, and his grandfather was one of the pioneers in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. After college, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, and subsequently he completed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the Temple University Hospital and Moss Rehab program in Philadelphia, PA where he was elected Chief Resident during his final year of training.
Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in Spine, Sports, and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Bonner is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also board certified in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Pain Medicine.
In his practice, Dr. Bonner provides comprehensive, interventional spine and musculoskeletal care. He performs ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopically-guided interventional procedures for various causes of pain. He has taken a special interest in the exercise-based rehabilitation of spine and musculoskeletal injuries and uses his knowledge of these methods to provide patients with long term solutions to their ailments.

They ignored your calls or voicemails, messed up the appointment, causally denied their mistakes, had me waited for nearly an hour in a small unit, triggered my stress and low blood pressure reaction, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Waited an hour for my appointment. Dr. Bonner came off as dismissive of my concerns and seemed to want to quickly get through my appointment and rush to the next one. I felt uncomfortable asking all the questions I had prepared as I felt rushed and that I was burdening a doctor by asking questions about my health. The woman processing my payment at the front desk was kind. When I got my prescription for physical therapy and went to the desk to try to schedule times, another woman working at the desk was very rude when I said that their physical therapy times (9-5) would not work for me since I work a 9-5 and she didn’t offer any alternatives or other recommendations. Sorry but myself and most people cannot take off half a day of work every week for physical therapy. My experience lacked care and felt rushed. Maybe consider making your physical therapy session hours more inclusive.

Both the staff in general and Dr. were spectacular. A careful attention. No waiting. The office shines with cleanliness and especially the Dr. did a procedure in the consultation of extraction of liquid from my knee and injection of cortizone with an impressive skill and prowess that demonstrate the practice and wisdom he has.

Dr. Bonner was outstanding! He is a kind, compassionate doctor, very knowledgeable and he answered all my questions. He carefully explained why I was having so much pain, which was a big concern I had. He shared treatment options, and let me choose. I could barely walk with the pain in my knee so I chose the cortisone shot. I barely even felt the injection. He warned me that it doesn't work for everyone, but I was very willing to try. He also explained other things I could do on my own to lesson the pain and enjoy my upcoming vacation. Best of all, he has given me hope that I can walk again without all this pain. What an amazing experience! Thank you Zoc Doc for finding this superb doctor.

I had gone to see a few pain specialists since I was waiting for a Hip replacement. I somehow stumbled on to Dr. Bonner on Google who was listed nearby my home. From the first call, up until now, he has gone above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and painless. He has always been available to take my calls or return them shortly thereafter. A gentle man who knows his subject- pain alleviation. He talks and discusses with his patients, so that both parties learn what is going on. I left with three different strategies to try. It was a really good learning experience about my cervical spine.

Dr. Bonner was thorough in his questions to come to a diagnosis. During treatment, he told me every step before he continued. My diagnosis was explained in terms that were easy to understand. I know my options for future treatment if needed. The initial relief of my pain while I was in the office after treatment has progressed to being pain-free after 24 hours. I would feel very confident going back to Dr. Bonner in the future.
