About Dr. William Kim
Dr. Kim is a board-certified General Otolaryngologist. After graduating with Honors from University of Virginia with a degree in Biochemistry, he went on to earn his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgical training at Tufts Medical Center and its affiliated hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Kim has received scholarships based on academic excellence and has authored a number of publications reflecting his diverse interests within the field of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Kim has an interest and focuses on head and neck cancers including thyroid and parathyroid diseases. He is also a certified surgeon for INSPIRE hypoglossal nerve stimulator for OSA.

Dr. Kim is honestly one of the best doctors I've ever been to! He's super professional, a great listener, and really knows what he's doing. This isn't our first visit — he's been my doctor for a while now, and I even recommended him to my husband! He's always so honest with his diagnosis, explains everything clearly, and genuinely takes his time with patients. We always leave feeling so much better. Highly recommend! ??

Dr. Kim lacked any bedside manner. His hair appeared messy like he just got out of bed and he needed a shave. He looked at me with skepticism when I described my hearing loss, no compassion or empathy. He ordered a CT scan, but when I received it a couple hours later, it was written for the wrong ear so I had to call and have it corrected. Not an overall great impression. Hopefully, I’ll have a better experience in a couple months when I return.

I’ve been going to Dr. Kim for several years now. One time when I had vertigo and this time with an ear irritation. I always have a great experience with him. He is a great doctor, I highly recommend him.

Dr Kim was a very patient listener as I described my concerns and reason for my visit . He explained the causes of my issue and put my mind at ease.

This doctor was very thorough. I've seen several specialists trying to get help for my condition and was told to see an ENT. He ruled out conditions relating to ears and was able to give me suggestions that other doctors hadn't mentioned. I felt like he listened carefully, he asked great questions and he did a thorough examination.

The Reston office staff were helpful and friendly. I had gone to the wrong building and was given directions when I called, particularly how to get into the rear entrance due to construction, with landmarks so I knew I was in the correct building. I was seen right away, which I was surprised about since I was at least 1/2 hour late. Dr. Kim came right in and we recapped from my last month visit and agreed on a plan forward. Good experience at Reston.

I think Dr. Kim did a good job. It's too soon to be sure. He certainly seemed knowledgeable. He was all business - not much chit chat. As I was leaving the office, I got light headed. My friend asked for water. We were directed to the water fountain. Really!? Most medical professionals are ready and equipped to handle these situations with more compassion.
