“Dr. Lackey himself is great, but the wait time is not reasonable at all. unfortunately this very last time, 4 ladies 1 was his assistant + 3 office and reception staff walked in on me in the exam room while I was undressed to take my shot and the were having conversations with the doctor during my visit. That unusual and inappropriate situation made me very uncomfortable ”

About Dr. William Lackey
Dr. Lackey is committed to providing state-of-the-art treatment options for all forms of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. He treats sports injuries, trauma, fractures, hand conditions, foot and ankle problems, arthritis, overuse conditions, and work-related injuries. For neck and back issues, he recommends seeking an orthopedic spine specialist.
His goal is to exhaust all conservative treatment options before recommending surgical intervention. As part of his commitment to natural and conservative care, he offers in-house physical therapy at all of his facilities. His primary aim is a quick return to symptom-free normal function with minimal interruption of a patient's daily or athletic routine.
Dr. Lackey specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques and joint preservation procedures. His surgical expertise includes sports-related shoulder and knee injuries, traumatic conditions, hand, foot, and ankle injuries, hip conditions, and joint preservation and reconstruction procedures.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Temple University Hospital. He further advanced his training with a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Lackey is a recipient of the John Lachman Award for Excellence in Orthopaedics. He actively treats patients ranging from the active or arthritic individual to the competitive athlete. He is a member of the National Ski Patrol and is certified in Outdoor Emergency Medical Management. Dr. Lackey currently holds active medical privileges at several Manhattan and Brooklyn hospitals.
