Dr. Long was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend him!
I dont appreciate them calling me and demanding a credit card to put on file before I even met the doctor or walked in the door. Then ehen I checked in, they asked for copay before I saw the doc. I'm not huge on establishments that it make it more than obvious that they're only about the money.
Dr. Long is a great doctor, he is very knowledgeable and patient with his patients, which is very important.
Dr Long is very professional and gets you in and out very quickly but he is very thorough.
After more than 20+ years Dr. William Long remains a trusted doctor whom I would never hesitate to recommend and recommend highly.
This was my second visit with Dr. Long, and it was terrible. He did not listen at all to my skin concerns but rather trivialized them and provided no recommendations. I will not go back there.
Great medical professional. He has contacted me off-hours if he comes across an article that relates to my condition.
He is thoroughly professional and courteous. My issue wasn't serious, but he was patient with me in explaining what it was and the treatment. Dr. Long gave me a medicine sample to take home, and I'm still using it. The condition is slowly clearing up, and I'm satisfied with his clinical expertise. I would gladly recommend him to friends and family.
Professional and informative.
He is an excellent doctor. He explains the situation in clear and consise terms so you understand exactly what is going on.
extremely condescending, would not recommend
I have been a patient of Dr. Long for several years. He is hands down, the best dermatologist in NY. If anyone is in search of a dermatologist, look no further.
Dr Long is thorough--he caught two cancerous spots on my face thanks to his careful exam. He listens to hear whatever problem or concern you have.
Dr. Long is professional, knowledgeable and attentive. In between appointments I sometimes get e-mails from him after he has read something that is relevant to me. An excellent doctor.
Excellent visit. Thorough, patient and confident Dr.
Welcoming personnel and the doctor was very clear ,pleasant and accurate in his explanations and procedure.
Nice to find a doc who is thorough and also has a sense of humor. AZL
Great and so was office staff
Friendly, efficient staff. Comfortable waiting room. Dr. Long is professional and experienced. Talks about procedures before proceeding, Calm, quiet manner.
Rushed me out while dismissing my questions. He had an appointment set for 10 minutes after mine.
First appointment was cancelled. OK, it happens. Second appointment: Cancelled 30 minutes before while I'm en route via subway. Salt in the wound: When I arrive in a bad mood and talk to the receptionist, a "manager" jumps into the conversation and starts smartmouthing me. Really nice. I'll find another practice, thank you.
Couldn't have gone any better
Truly enjoy all my visits with Dr. Long! Suburb Demotogist and a terrific sense of humor!!
I did not like this visit and it was my first time seeing this doctor. First, these offices make such a big emphasis on the patient to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier for paperwork (which I complied and ALSO completed through this portal for expedite processing). I was waiting for almost 30 minutes before I was called into the room. The front desk lady who called me in can't even differentiate between Atripla and Truvada! Then the doctor walks in, spends 5 minutes checking my skin and puts on the wrong prescription order to my pharmacy!!! Absolutely preposterous!
Nice staff. Dr. Long is professional, thorough...nice gentleman.
I have gone to Dr. Long in the past based on a referral from my primary care physician. He was helpful then and helpful now. He clarified any questions I had and prescribed medication for what I needed. Since I only came in for a regular check up he told me I probably don't need to come in for another 3 years considering my age and overall health.
He was by far the rudest and more arrogant doctor I have ever been to. There's a reason why he's the only one with appointments available between now and January in that office. I came in with an itching problem and all he did was lecture me on why it was so difficult to diagnose and that all he could do was give me an antihistamine. He was a joke and total waste of time.
A lot of the reviews mention his bedside manner not being the best, but in my opinion you want your doctor to be smart and knowledgeable and not your best friend. He could use a little softening on the edges, but I am confident he knew what he was doing and took the correct steps to treat my issues. Definitely recommend as he seems like a very talented doctor.
Nice office, took me quickly, clean, efficient. Dr. Long is very nice although a bit uncomfortable around people. Nurse who brought me into the room asked me questions about why I was there but wouldn't wait for my reply, interrupting to answer for me, which I didn't appreciate. Even if I am a totally average person with average problems I should be treated with interest by the health professionals.
Very pleasant offices and personnel. Quick, efficient procedure.
He was very thorough. I've had dermatology skin checks that took 2 minutes. Dr. Long did a full examination and made me feel at ease.
Dr. Long was thorough in examining my concerning spots on my skin. He warned of any pain I might endure before he poked and prodded. He talked through each procedure that he went through and made me feel very comfortable.
No nonsense doc who is very helpful.
I came to Dr. Long to get a second opinion and I am glad I trusted my gut instinct to do so. He gave me a different medical diagnosis and explained to me what my skin problem was (showing me pictures) and took the time to explain why the other doctor's diagnosis was incorrect. He prescribed me medication for a skin condition related to my pregnancy and took in my concerns for a mild hydrocortisone cream. He was professional, thoughtful, answered my questions and I feel quite positive about the entire experience! Will definitely be back!
Not great - he seemed distracted and otherwise occupied. Didn't seem to care about me as a new patient.
Excellent dermatologist. Very thorough and professional.
Very positive experience. Highly recommended
Excellent! Very well informed and very professional.
It was quick and easy, which I liked. He started off with "what's the problem," and since it was just about acne and no real 'problem,' it was a weird way to start the conversation and not very friendly. Dr. Long was personable and clearly educated, but he definitely didn't go out of his way to be friendly or make the office feel inviting. Prescription coverage was also not discussed.
Excellent diagnostician; friendly and very helpful manner----answered all of my questions & concerns. Staff is welcoming, and pleasant. Overall, visit was efficient but not rushed. They phoned prescriptions directly to my pharmacy so that they arrived quickly (the same day). Highly recommended. Donald S.
I schedule early morning appointments and arrive 15 minutes early and I still waited 35 minutes past my appointment time.
Dr. Long is a consummate professional with a dry sense of humour.
From the moment I walked in the staff was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful in assisting me with obtaining my referral. Dr. Long was terrific! Very friendly, and thorough and I felt totally confident that I received the best care. I will be back for sure.
Casual check-up. Felt like it was all professional. Looked me over and I was in and out in 10 minutes.
Dr. William Long is the best doctor; quick and to the point- no BS.
Good doctor with a terrible bedside Manner.
Dr. Long is a very professional and kind doctor. He listens to your concerns and provides easy to understand explanations. He performs treatments quickly and informs you of what you'll feel during them so you're not surprised. I would highly recommend Dr. Long for any dermatological issues.
William was very courteous and to the point, I appreciated his help in remedying my problem.
Went in for a general skin checkup; this was my first time visiting this doctor. Overall, had a good experience. Very quick and efficient appointment and administrative processing in the front, especially with the ZocDoc online service have expedited the patient intake forms. I was processed in and out for my appointment within about an hour. Doctor moved very fast and was cordial, but not particularly warm or friendly. Emphasis seemed to be on efficient and no-nonsense delivery of service. I like to develop a relationship with my doctor if possible, so we'll see if that happens over the course of follow-up appointments.
Been going to Dr Long for years and this was the first time I ever waited more than 15 minutes. I was able to book and fill out all my forms on ZocDoc and loved it!
The visit itself was fine. I was disappointed that the on-line information I entered was not used by the office. When I commented that I completed the form online, I was told that was their office's form.
Awesome. He is very straight forward and clear. He has more than once advised me AGAINST various laser/filler cosmetic treatments, thus reaffirming my confidence that he is not in the business of pushing cosmetic treatments for the profits. Also the only MD to correctly diagnose a form of dermatitis on my face, for which other dermatologists had previously always prescribed acne medication. It has now disappeared.
He has been my doctor for over twenty years and I would not consider going anywhere else. He also has the respect of great doctors.
All really good, except the person making appointments via ZocDoc forgot to add me in the Dr. Long's schedule. Still, the two office workers were expedient and got me seen nearly on schedule. They were very nice.
Good doc took his time and I didn't feel rushed
Dr. Long is knowledgeable, caring and effective. He has even emailed me after hours -- not to respond to a question but, just because he had a thought about my treatment.
Dr. Long is a busy doctor for sure, but he is excellent and respectful to his patients. He is thorough, and careful has great follow-up. He works with his daughter, Dr. Wendy Long, who is also a terrific dermatologist. Don't hesitate to see them. TIP: if they are booked too far in the future, ask the office to call you when they get cancellations.
Fine, except that I sort of didn't get "checked in" by the person who checked me in, and waited about 25 minutes past my appointment time before I realize that I have been forgotten about. Dr. Long is fantastic, very good at efficiently getting things done and a kind bedside manner as far as letting you know what's going on with little procedures and pinches and things like that.
It was only first first visit and was only there for a consultation. My appointment was 3:15 and a patient who came in after me and whose appt was after mine got called in first. This resulted in a wait over an hour just to be seen for less than 5 minutes. Other than that, Doctor Long was professional in his work.
Very professional and not a long wait time. Would recommend him.
Dr. William Long is very knowledgeable, caring, and attentive. He's most always got a smile on his face, and always knows how to fix whatever issues I'm going to see him for. He's certainly one of my favorite doctors out there.
Dr. Long has an intimating look but he is very professional. If you're looking for the doctor who will give you the warm welcoming smile than he is not the one but if you want a doctor who's professional and knows what he is doing, you have the right doctor.
My first time to a dermatologist and I didn't know what to expect. Came out feeling really awkward about the interaction, as if my questions and situation, though not life threatening, were a waste of his time.
Efficient and thorough, albeit a bit rushed.
Dr. Long did a good job. I had to have an angioma spot removed from my face for the second time. He is a good doctor.
Dr. Long was very thorough and professional in his examination and explanation of his diagnosis. No problems there. Only problem was the wait. I spent the better part of an hour in the waiting room, then sat in the examination room in nothing but a hospital gown for at least another 20 minutes. Based on the complaints I heard from another patient who was waiting, this is nothing new. Hoping for better luck on my follow-up exam, but sounds like this office has some scheduling issues.
Very clear visit, to the point in a professional manner and specific options for any treatment I may option for in the future. I certainly plan to continue yearly visits to Dr. Long.
Dr. Long is genuine, kind and thorough. His receptionists as well as his medical assistant are all lovely and pleasant. I would recommend his services to my friends and colleagues.
Yes, i will absolutely request Doctor Long to my friends. He was very quick, efficient and yet compassionate in brief a real professional. I wish every doctor was like that, people would save not only money but also time. Also, nice office on Park Avenue, which is another plus.
I've been going to Dr. Long for years. He is the best. He saved my life.
My wife and I have been going to Dr. Long for many years. He is thorough and easy to talk with. We've had successful many procedures without any pain.
Took care of my problem. Very happy with the care I received. I would recommend to others.
I've been going to this doctor off and on for about 20 years, depending on whether he takes my insurance or not. For more serious things, I ALWAYS go to him even if he is out of network. This time I had surgery on my foot and, although he does not take my current health insurance plan, his fee was very fair and the surgery and aftercare great. When this doctor was unavailable, I have used other fine doctors in his practice, including his daughter Wendy, another first-rate dermatologist. After decades, no complaints, even minor ones, just good solid healthcare.
efficient office; sing-song med assistant, not my favorite way of being spoken to; but Dr Long wastes no time, while being easy to talk to. Having gone thru a period where a condition I had was tricky to diagnose, he was straight forward and patient, both with me and himself, till he figured it out. I'm nit speaking of this past visit, which was routine.
Dr. William Long was my dermatologist many years back, and I had to go back to him because he is the best.
Dr. Long is an excellent doctor and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
He was the first dermatologist I've seen in 8 months to accurately diagnose my dermatitis issues, which cleared up in only a few weeks thanks to his recommended regimen!
Excellent. Very attentive and thorough. Painless procedure. Very good bedside manner.
Friendly, attentive, helpful, and with my best interest in mind
Dr. Long is great!
Nice guy, very straightforward service. Good sense of humor.
Waited for nearly an hour and got about 5 minutes from Dr. Long who was clearly trying to make up lost time on his schedule.
He seemed like he didn't want to be there and wasn't able to answer all my questions
As usual i was very satisfied with Dr Long and his staff. I have been a patient of Dr Long's for over 10 years and would highly recommend him and his staff. ( and I have )
He was very professional, and was willing to speak with me about my concerns (acne-related). Despite showing up on ZocDoc, my appointment was apparently not available when I booked it - I booked day of - but I was not notified of this. The office did a good job of squeezing me in, but there was a long wait and the doctor admitted that he could not perform extractions he might otherwise perform due to lack of time. Overall, I would rate Dr. Long highly, but I'd book far in advance next time, and I'd go toward the end of the work day.
He was knowledgeable, his office staff was very professional and I didn't have to wait long. It was a good experience.
Dr. Long is tops in every respect; an excellent doctor with a caring attitude and a wonderful manner when dealing with patients. As you may see from my comments, Dr. Long is a very special doctor and I would recommend him as highly as possible.
The reason for the wait was the failure by ZocDoc to notify the Dr. office of my appointment, in spite of confirmations and reminders to me. So when I arrived at the appointed time they had no record of the appointment! However, I was seen as quickly as possible. When seen I received excellent care and diagnosis.
Dr Long is a good doctor. He immediately addressed my issue. He is not very social but he is very knowledgeable.
He is a great Dr. He has been my dermatologist for about 10 years.
Great doctor, got in quick but then didn't feel at all rushed during consultation and surgery. Recommended!
I phoned ahead and was told I would be seen on time, but ended up in the waiting room for 20 min past my appointment and waiting in a gown in the examining room for another 15 min. Another patient arrived after me with no appointment and asked to "speak with the doctor for a moment." She was moved ahead of me, though no one said a word to me by way of explanation or apology. I prefer a doctor who runs his office in a way that is respectful of the patient's time.
He is veruy professional, warm and nice. A perfect doctor.
Very fine and smart dermatologist
I liked Dr Long a lot!! Very professional but also very nice. I will see him again. Thanks!
