He received his medical degree, with distinction, from George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. After graduation, He was invited to the University of Arizona, where he completed his preliminary residency training in internal medicine. He was then asked to return to George Washington University where he completed his Dermatology fellowship. During his time in Washington, D.C., he was selected to attend dermatology clinical consultations at the prestigious National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. He has been an active teaching member of the University of Washington faculty for over 20 years, where he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Medicine/Dermatology. He has previously served as a Clinical Instructor in Dermatology at the George Washington University, School of Medicine, Washington, D.C. He is affiliated with several professional societies, including a full fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society for Dermatological Surgery, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is also a founding member and twice past President of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery as well as a past President of the Washington State Dermatology Association and the Spokane County Medical Society. He has also completed the Physician Entrepreneurship program offered by the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and the AMA. Drawing from his extensive clinical experience, He has contributed to numerous studies, lectures, and publications in the field of Dermatology. A prolific writer, he is also on the editorial boards of several scholarly journals, including The Dermatologist, Cutis, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and Pathways to Clinical Practice.
