**Evaluations may take more than one visit. Medication may not be prescribed on the first visit. ** Dr. William Winter is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist based in NYC. Areas of interest include ADHD, behavioral issues, anxiety and phobias, academic, social and family problems. Dr. Winter heads ADHD.NYC. The following services are provided: 1. Evaluations: - Psychiatric evaluations to assess best treatment options - Neuropsychological evaluations to assess for additional scholastic services for children and also to assess for extended time on standardized tests including SATs, LSATs, GREs, GMATs, MCATs, etc. 2. Various therapy options including: talk therapies, i.e. cognitive therapy behavioral therapy, play therapy nutritional and daily life practice adjustments family therapy and medication therapy options Double boarded by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Winter is a specialty fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He enjoys teaching and has taught/supervised Family Therapy at the NYU Child Center, has been on faculty at Beth Israel Hospital and has taught and supervised PhD students at the Ferkauf graduate school of Psychology.
