What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients can expect a supportive, respectful, and collaborative approach to care. I take time to listen carefully, understand each person’s concerns, and develop an individualized treatment plan based on their unique needs and goals. My focus is on creating a comfortable environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in treatment decisions. During the initial evaluation, we will review your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current concerns, and treatment goals to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs. Treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies when appropriate. I value open communication, honesty, and consistency in treatment. My goal is to help patients improve their overall mental health, daily functioning, and quality of life while building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and compassion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and focused on creating a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard and understood. During the initial evaluation, we will review your current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, past treatments, medications, lifestyle factors, and personal goals for treatment. I take time to understand the full picture so we can develop an individualized care plan together. Typical follow-up sessions focus on monitoring symptoms, evaluating progress, adjusting medications when needed, and discussing stressors, coping skills, sleep, mood, anxiety, attention, or behavioral concerns. I provide supportive therapy and psychoeducation during visits, and when appropriate, incorporate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques to help patients build practical coping strategies. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care that helps patients improve daily functioning, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, insomnia, and other mood or behavioral health concerns. Telepsychiatry appointments are designed to be comfortable, confidential, and convenient while maintaining high-quality personalized care
