As a PMHNP, I listen actively, provide evidence-based care, and partner with clients to empower them in managing their mental health concerns. My approach is grounded in empathy and shaped by experience, especially with vulnerable populations. I honor everyone’s dignity and autonomy, and I am committed to culturally sensitive, individualized care rooted in humility and respect.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My journey in behavioral health nursing has granted me valuable insights into the complexities of mental health care, particularly in how these challenges affect individuals and their families on a profound level. As a PMHNP, my approach is collaborative and client-centered. During first encounters, I strive to complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals. From there, a personalized treatment plan is developed, which may include medication management, therapy, lifestyle changes, or referrals to other supportive resources. Follow-up visits are used to monitor progress, adjust treatment as warranted, and ensure my clients feel supported every step of the way. Open communication, education, and trust are at the heart of my work together with my clients.
