Getting to know Xochitl Calderon
I have spent most of my nursing career working with patients experiencing psychosis and mood disorders. I am a firm believer in a harm reduction approach with patients and believe together as a working team we can create realistic lifestyle changes to meet your needs.
My practice is based out of the Eating Disorders Treatment Center (EDTC) in Albuquerque. Though I work at EDTC, my practice is not exclusive to those with eating disorder diagnoses, as I am able to treat any mental health diagnosis and any age group. I will also continue a patient's current or past treatment regimen if it was effective and it is safe to do so.
I specialize in medication management/psychotherapy, and am bilingual in Spanish and English.
Besides psychiatry, my passions in life include baking, bird watching, gardening, paddleboarding and spoiling my three fur babies. I have a 3-legged cat, 3-legged guinea pig, and a corgi who has all four legs!
