I would like to welcome you to my clinic. I always find it honorable and rewarding to have a personable connection with my patients. To give you an idea of who I am and what my work philosophy is, here is a bit about myself. I was born in Vietnam and raised in Sunnyvale. I graduated from Fremont High School and received my B.S.in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. Thereafter, I attended the University of Minnesota, Medical School. I returned to UC Davis Medical Center to finish Obstetrics & Gynecology residency in 2000. I had held position as attending physician at San Joaquin County Hospital and Lucile Packard at Stanford, training residents and medical students, while practicing and enjoying my ideal career. In 2004, I opened my private practice in Mt. View. My special interests are normal and high-risk obstetrics, general gyn diseases and wellness and gynecological surgeries. I perform minimally-invasive surgeries using the laparoscope as well as Da Vinci Robotic system. These techniques result in less blood loss, less tissue injury, faster recovery time and shorter hospital stay. These surgeries include myomectomy, hysterectomy, cystectomy, oophorectomy, sacrocolpopexy.
My commitment to educating women about disease processes and empowering them with knowledge and choices to optimize their health is utmost important in my practice. Developing a good nutrition, staying physically active and having a stress outlet all contribute to the "wholesome self".
My hobbies include swimming, running, weight training, and hiking. Being physically active helps me to endure both physical and emotional demands from daily stress. I am a health fanatic and enjoy activities that result in a "good sweat".

Dr. Xuananh Tran is a wonderful doctor. She takes the time to listen to your problems and try her best to give you options on what you can do. I've went to many gynecologists these past few years, and I have to say, she's the best so far. She's very knowledgeable in her field. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Tran was respectful but not informative. I had to ask specific questions for her to offer any additional information aside from what my specific diagnosis was. After leaving her office, I went online to research my condition and found substantially more information from reputable resources.
Additionally, the woman at the front desk appeared to be highly disorganized. I used ZocDoc for my appointment, called and confirmed, but when my appointment date came, I was not in their system. She then proceeded to ask me, in front of patients in the waiting area, why I was coming in to see the doctor. She made me feel generally uncomfortable throughout the visit, but she was not unwelcoming or unkind. As I was leaving the office, she asked that I go ahead and call her to remind her to check whether or not my desired form of birth control was covered by the insurance. If it was, we were going to discuss my options and potentially set up a return appointment. I knew I did not want to go back to this office, so I did not call back. A few weeks later, I receive an email from my insurance provider saying the birth control shipped to their office. I have yet to hear from this office since my visit.
I would not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Tran was wonderful and has perfect bedside manner if anyone is worried about their annual exam. Staff was rude on the phone when they called to ask for insurance and didn't seem to have any interest in being polite or exchanging common courtesies. Other than that, the visit was great.

The wait times were incredibly long. Both visits I waited over 30 minutes. Dr. Xuananh was also not very helpful with giving me answers or guidance to questions I had. She sent me off with unanswered questions and pamphlets.

Went for my annual exam and Dr. Tran was quick, but also made sure all my questions were answered, and asked me several times if I had more questions (just to make sure). Felt very comfortable with her and will definitely use her for a long time.

I chose her based on her photograph since I was very nervous for my visit. She is exactly as she looks, kind and considerate. The visit was not bad at all, she made sure to talk me through everything and I was comfortable throughout.

Unfortunately, it was not a good experience for me! I came to dr. Tran with fertility issues and she didnt recommend me any treatment and good advice... Her assistant was pretty rude and she just recommended me eating lots of fruits and veggies, THATS ALL. SAD

Unrelated to the doctor, the parking in this area is insanely bad. Plan on arriving 20-30 minutes early just to get a parking space. I arrived 15 minutes early and still couldn't find a space on the a Wednesday mid-morning. Then I needed to fill out the medical forms again, even though I completed the forms online through Zoc Doc. Dr. Tran was pleasant and the well woman exam was straightforward. I received a new prescription for medication I was already taking, but she said her office would be in contact for a specialist referral, but they never called me back. She also said they would call with my test results, but I just received them in the mail. There are some broken processes at this office that cause the office to follow through and make the patient experience rather unpleasant despite Dr. Tran's good bed side manner.

As a new patient, Dr. Tran took care to ask about any concerns and questions I had. The front office staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. Dr. Tran also made sure to follow up with me personally, something I really appreciated. I highly recommend her office.

Dr. Tran was very nice, quick, and thorough. I went to her to discuss a change in BC prescription, and she listened to what I wanted and also factored in things like my size and family history to find the best fit for me. I really appreciated that and I definitely recommend seeing her. Everyone in the office is super nice as well.
