About Dr. Libby Szeto
I have always been captivated by the intricacies of pregnancy and the various aspects surrounding it. The opportunity to care for patients during such a sensitive and transformative period of their lives, and earning their trust, has been a deeply rewarding experience for me. In college, I volunteered as a labor coach and acted as an interpreter for Cantonese-speaking patients, which solidified my passion for this field.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, completed my internship at Montefiore Medical Center, and finished my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. This training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive care.
I find fulfillment in the diversity of tasks that each day brings. From performing surgeries like hysterectomies to delivering babies vaginally or via C-section, as well as providing routine OB/GYN care, this variety keeps my work engaging and stimulating.
One of the aspects I cherish most is establishing continuity with my patients. I value the opportunity to build long-term relationships. Being able to follow up with patients and provide consistent care allows for a deeper understanding of their needs and values. This rapport not only facilitates communication but also guides our conversations and decision-making process. By fostering open communication and shared decision-making, I aim to create a patient-centric environment where individuals feel informed, heard, and actively involved in their own care.

I’ve been receiving prenatal care from Dr. Sezto, and I feel incredibly grateful to be under her care.
