“Dr Perper listened to my pain concerns, was able to get an explanation as to why I was in pain . In the most gentle manner I was prepped and given a topical pain medication prior to Dr Perper’s administration of the injection. The injection was absolutely painless due to Dr Perper’s excellent technique. Dr Perper also suggested a brace appropriate to my condition. He is a wonderful caring and knowledgeable Dr. I would recommend Dr Perper’s to everyone who needs pain management. ”

About Dr. Yakov Perper
"Patient satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards of care are the keys to my practice! My goal is to alleviate pain, help patients return to a normal life, and avoid unnecessary surgical interventions," Dr. Perper says.
Dr. Perper is a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist and Fellowship-Trained Pain Management Physician. He earned his Medical Degree at First Tashkent State Medical Institute and completed his Residency in Anesthesiology at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn. He further pursued Fellowships in Pain Management and Sports Medicine at Saint Vincent's Medical Center, NY. Since graduating from these fellowships, Dr. Perper has built a successful record of accomplishments in the medical field.
He began his career at Croser-Chester Medical Center, PA, in 2003. He then moved to New York, where he was appointed Attending Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Physician at Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens. In 2004, he was promoted to Director of Pain Management, a role he held until 2005 before transitioning into private practice. Dr. Perper is an active member of the American Medical Association (AMA) and the International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS). He was honored by the American Consumer Research Association with the “American Top Anesthesiologists with Specialization in Pain Management” award from 2009 through 2012, and as an “American Top Pain Management Physician” in 2013. His achievements have also been recognized by the American Anesthesiological Society.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Perper holds two patented inventions: the “Device for Repairing a Dural Puncture” and the “Seated Fluoroscopy Application Device.” He regularly attends Pain Management conferences to advance his medical education and has represented the United States at the World Pain Management Congresses in Germany (2011), Spain (2012), and Poland (2013), where he presented innovative procedures and techniques in top pain management practices.
