He completed his medical training at Russian State Medical University and had been practicing psychiatry in Russia at first, then came to the US and completed psychiatry residency training at The University of Texas at Houston.
Dr. Semenov uses an integrative approach in the treatment of psychiatric and psychological problems with a combination of individual psychotherapy, healthy modifications in lifestyle, and medications management.
Dr. Semenov has an active and very dynamic life, playing different sports by himself and with his family and friends. He loves to travel to interesting places, loves to read and educate himself and loves to play the guitar.

I made the appointment through the app. I called 30 mins prior to the appointment. I was told that they had to reschedule me because I wasn't officially scheduled. No where did it say that I needed to receive a message stating my appointment. I used Zoc Doc before and I'm immediately sign up using the app. They were able to reschedule me for the next day. As per the Doc, he seemed to just follow his protocol of an initial interview. His diagnosis for my issue never included anything I mentioned to what brought me there in the first place. I rescheduled for a second appointment but I decided to try a different doctor because I didn't feel heard. I decided to try an in person doctor as opposed to a telemedicine encounter. He's in Colorado and I need a Doc who relates to my NYC lifestyle. He's professional & advised me to review my diet, avoid toxins, take supplements to improve my physical to improve my mental state. It's good but never acknowledged my bad work experience that broke me.

After a session with this particular psychotherapist, you’ll need another therapist just to get your nervous system back on track. He’ll mock you in the most intellectual way possible, politely agreeing with everything you say while adding extra “facts” to make it sound even better. He won’t actually be listening - he’s simply following protocol. Nothing can surprise him, he’s the smartest doctor on Earth, after all. He’ll show up fashionably late and will have already drawn his conclusions about you before the session even ends.
