About Dr. Yamilete Castillo Torres
Dr. Castillo was born and raised in Anasco, Puerto Rico. She studied Biology at Pontificia Catholic University of Puerto Rico with the intention of pursuing a Master's Degree in Mycology. However, after a friend invited her to attend a meeting where a professor from a Chiropractic College was speaking, she was inspired to change her academic path.
A week later, she experienced the power of Chiropractic firsthand during a visit to a chiropractor, which confirmed her calling. She immediately canceled her plans for a Master's Degree in Mycology and began the admission process for Sherman College of Chiropractic.
She relocated to Spartanburg, South Carolina, to pursue her passion for helping others improve their quality of life. After earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College, she moved to Houston, where she now assists people in living the lives they deserve.
Her interests include hiking, reading history books, and discovering new restaurants—reasons why Texas is the ideal place for her.
Dr. Castillo is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Dr. Castilo explains things clearly, provides treatment plan & details, treats professionally and friendly, and improves my pain and overall conditions noticeably in 2 weeks of visits. Dr. Castillo checked a plan to address each of my staked needs and goals and @ each visit takes time to solicit and listen to my feedback in real time. She includes any needed adjustments to the plan and we proceed, minimizing accute pain and optimizing my overall health & wellness:)

My visit at Core was really productive. I had few major bone pain issues which got fixed one by one. First the TMJ followed by my severe back pain (lower specifically). Also the doctor helped me out to figure certain hip-bone issues which I had along with the alignment issue with my right of left leg.
