About Yan Jin
Yan Jin is a Family Nurse Practitioner with many years of varied medical and nursing experience, who provides patient care based on the current and evolving standards of the practice, using clinical assessment and innovative thinking. With a medical background that started as an OBGYN MD Resident in China, Yan earned her MSN degree at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY. Yan has worked in dermatology and plastic surgery as a Registered Nurse for over 10 years in the New York Metro area. Horrible experience, the long wait time should have been my first clue to run. Long story short, I'm on a biologic that worked amazing and treated a condition I've struggled with for over 10 years. I usually go to a location in Fresh Meadows, but this one is closer to my home. Besides I literally just needed my yearly bloodwork for a prescription I've been on over a year. What could possibly go wrong right? Well everything, the provider in her great wisdom canceled my refill after my visit. This was not discussed at all. My appointment was January 19th, today is March 12th and I still do not have my prescription. The office staff does not answer the phone ever. I truly believe the ringer is off. Anyway, I will likely develop antibodies to the treatment with the lapse in treatment and am in process of finding another provider.

I was extremely frustrated by the wait time. It took 20 minutes to be called into the back, and then I waited another 30 minutes before seeing the provider for 5 minutes. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

I was contacted over 8 times, maybe a dozen, to remind me about the appt. I responded to the first 2.
The questionnaire included some highly personal and irrelevant questions. Like when did I first have set. This for a body scan. I made up answers.
I sat in a little paper covering for over 20 minutes waiting to be seen.
I would not return to this practice.

Waited a whole hour in the exam room because the doctor was in another appointment. When she arrived she clearly felt rushed and annoyed, and said I was causing my own skincare problems without listening to my feedback on how the medication had been working.

I was supposed to get three medication’s and one was not approved by my insurance and they kept trying to get the authorization and information from Advanced Dermatology for me to get my medication and they were not getting responses. It took me three days of phone calls and then I finally got thru to someone at Advance Detmatology and was not happy it was day 3 and still no meds. They told me they would set it up with a mail order pharmacy but I couldn’t wait for it to come in the mail so I had to drive 1/2 hour away to go pick up the medication because I didn’t want to wait for it to be mailed out to me.
