Getting to know Yeqi Chen

Hi there! I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Yale University and a Post-Master's Certificate from New York University. I specialize in medication management and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I view myself as a listener, mentor, and partner in each client's recovery journey. Throughout the treatment process, I provide thorough psychoeducation, explore various treatment options, and collaborate with clients to develop a personalized, practical, and effective plan of action. I believe that receiving a prescription is never the end of the story. My goal is to empower clients to actively engage in their care and work towards sustainable treatment outcomes.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of people, from adolescents and college students to professionals and older adults. I’ve gained experience helping individuals navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, and psychosis. I am a certified SIPS (Structured Interview for Psychosis-Risk Syndromes) assessor through Yale PRIME Psychosis Risk Clinic. Additionally, I hold a Post-Master's Certificate in Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from NYU and completed my Integrated Substance Use Disorder Training Program (ISTP) from NYU Langone Health.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy. I believe psychiatric treatment shoud be affordable and accessible. Our clinic accepts major insurances and offers evening & weekend hours.
