“Dr. Yi Jia is a very caring, knowledgeable, efficient doctor and I highly recommend.
I had an urgent GI issue and was in excruciating pain & was so relieved to find that Dr. Jia had weekend appointments available. I was able to book a next day consultation & a diagnostic procedure within days.
Dr. Jia was quickly able to diagnose my condition after his recommended diagnostic procedures and provided the necessary treatment.
Happily, I am out of pain and in recovery. I was impressed with the courteous service I received from Dr. Jia's staff, the incredibly short wait time to be seen once arriving & the convenience of his midtown Manhattan location.
All in all, I highly recommend Dr. Jia and give him 5 out of 5!!!”

About Dr. Yi Jia
Growing up in a family of physicians, Dr. Yi Jia learned the foundations of medicine and the importance of compassionate patient care from a very early age. Dr. Jia graduated with honors from Peking University Health Science Center with a Bachelor of Medicine and completed a demanding Ph.D. program at Purdue University in just four years. He conducted in-depth research activities ranging from bench work to clinical studies at NIDDK/NIH and the FDA. Dr. Jia completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, followed by fellowship training in Advanced Endoscopy at the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Jia is a clinical faculty member at Weill Cornell Medicine and an attending physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Jia's clinical interests focus on precancerous and cancerous lesions of the gastrointestinal tract. His practice emphasizes the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, with a particular interest in using novel endoscopic techniques to diagnose and treat these diseases. He has authored more than 30 science-based publications. He specializes in all aspects of diseases of the digestive system, including endoscopy, colon cancer screening, and liver and pancreatobiliary diseases.
