Getting to know Dr. Yifat Wassermann

**Please expect a consultation call after booking an appointment** I am a licensed clinical psychologist working with adults, adolescents, and children, providing individual and couple therapy. I also conduct neuropsychological evaluations, including assessments for ADHD, learning disabilities, and IQ testing. I maintain private practices in both New York City and Cresskill, New Jersey. I view psychotherapy as a journey of exploration and transformation, through which one can enhance both self-understanding and freedom of choice. I work collaboratively with my clients and practice in a flexible, integrative manner, employing both dynamic and cognitive behavioral techniques. Therapy sessions are conversational, where we explore thoughts and feelings in a warm, safe, and empathic environment. I have extensive experience working in leading hospitals in New York and New Jersey and specialized training in anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, personality disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I have conducted multiple research studies on the emotional aspects associated with acculturation and immigration processes, which I address in therapy when relevant. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, hold a Master’s in Business Administration from Tel Aviv University, and completed my Bachelor’s degree at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
