Getting to know Dr. Yina Cruz
I am a bilingual (English–Spanish) board-certified psychiatric provider dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life’s emotional challenges. My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and prolonged grief.
I believe in creating a warm, inclusive, and culturally sensitive environment where every individual feels seen, respected, and valued. My goal is to help you achieve emotional balance and personal growth through compassionate and personalized care.
I welcome individuals from all walks of life, including the LGBTQ+ community, and I am committed to meeting you exactly where you are in your healing journey.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and centered around you. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can share openly and feel understood without judgment. Together, we will explore your concerns, build clarity, and develop a plan that reflects your unique story and goals.
Communication and trust are at the heart of my practice. You can expect transparency, flexibility, and care that’s attuned to your cultural, personal, and spiritual values—offered seamlessly in both English and Spanish.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our work begins with conversation—I take time to listen, learn about your experiences, and understand what matters most to you. From there, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, holistic lifestyle guidance, and NON-CONTROLLED MEDICATION management when needed.
The amazing part is that many patients prefer these alternative options, and I’ve been helping them transition successfully. My goal is to provide effective treatment for conditions such as bipolar disorder, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), depression, and anxiety, using approaches that are safe, sustainable, and focused on long-term wellness.
My approach centers on consistency, compassion, and collaboration to ensure that every step of your care supports your emotional health, growth, and resilience.
I’m here to walk alongside you—meeting you exactly where you are and helping you move toward a place of healing and renewed purpose.
