She is extremely pleasant and professional showed me the procedure animation video on this I-pad, which is really helpful.
I saw several doctors for my finger surgery and will be going with Dr. Chi.
Her staff are very helpful as well, overall a great experience.

**Dr. Chi is a Hand and Wrist Specialist**
A native of Seattle, Dr. Chi graduated from University of Washington School of Medicine in 2004. In her class of 180 students she was one of the two women who chose to specialize in orthopedic surgery. Upon completion of her general surgery internship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, she went on to train at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where she was the only female orthopedic resident. A hand and Microsurgery fellowship took her to University of California – Irvine. Prior to relocating to Orange County she worked as Assistant Professor of Hand and Microsurgery at University of Cincinnati, and enjoyed teaching bright and talented orthopedic residents and fellows. She continues to be involved in academic medicine as a clinical faculty at University of California-Irvine.
Dr. Chi believes the relationship between and patient and surgeon is the foundation of the treatment process, and takes a ‘hands on’ approach to patient care. Her Chinese-American cultural heritage provides further understanding and insights to allow her to provide care and give back to her community. Dr. Chi is fluent in Mandarin- Chinese, She also has a team of multi-lingual and multi-disciplinary specialists to provide comprehensive care of your hands. She divides her time between Fountain Valley Office and Irvine Office, working as a hand and micro vascular surgeon. Dr. Chi was very pleasant and thorough explaining my injury and the steps she was taking to complete her exam. Didn't really want to meet her under the circumstances (messed up hand) none the less she made this a pleasant office visit which I find to be a rare quality today. GOOD JOB DR CHI

Dr. Chi and her office staff were incredible. They were so nice and understanding when I accidentally showed up unprepared. They were insistent on making sure I had everything I needed and Dr. Chi made sure my wrist was taken care of. Definitely appreciate everything they did for me. I highly recommend them!

There were no wait time. Reception staff were pleasant, professional and efficient. The facilities were clean, neat. Best doctor experience so far. Also I was repeatedly reminded by ZocDoc text and by Dr. Chi's staff several times prior to the appointment, which is good. Hope Dr. Chi will keep up this standard in her continuing cares of her patients.

I thought she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Her staff was fantastic too. I was late because traffic was horrific, but her staff was very calm and understanding. I filled out my paperwork and went straight to have x-rays taken of my shoulder. Talked to the doctor about the x-rays. She gave me a steroid shot to relieve the pain and referred me to physical therapy. There was no messing around, she knew exactly what to do and it was like clockwork. I felt like she really cared about what was ailing me. I usually hate seeing doctors, because they make you feel like you're making up your ailment to annoy them or something. Dr. Chi and her staff were very sweet and welcoming.

My visit with Dr. Chi was fine, ZocDoc reservation system is really screwed-up.I originally made an appointment at 0800 for 4/28 which showed on ZocDoc as available. I then received call fro the Dr.'s office saying the time was not available so it was changed to 1030. I received an e-mail on 4/27 from ZocDoc reminding me of my 0800 appointment for the 28th.It's good I didn't follow the ZocDoc reminder.

I would rate Dr. Chi as a 10/10 for her professionalism, knowledge, and warmth. On that same scale, however, her front desk staff gets a 1/10. I had numerous bad encounters with one secretary over the course of about 10 different phone calls in two days. She was rude, unhelpful, lacked basic telephone skills, and needed to have her hand held through the insurance confirming process. At one point she called just before my appointment to cancel it due to what she decided was apparent non-coverage. This ultimately resulted in me having to conference her in on a call with the insurance company to carefully explain and re-explain (and RE-explain) my insurance benefits and why I was covered. Let's just say she's a bit slow to understand and process what she hears. When people are in pain and in need of medical care, it is unacceptable to unceremoniously reschedule appointments, not return calls, screen client calls, and make very uninformed judgement calls with regards to insurance. It is unfortunate that such a great doctor was such a hassle to meet with.

Dr. Chi is the best surgeon I have ever had (and I have plenty!) She is not only amongst the top in her field, she is incrediby compasionate and professional. She also surrounds herself with an amazing staff who are the best.
