What should a new client know about working with you?
Hello, I’m Yiranda Diaz, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming
a PMHNP, I spent several years working as a psychiatric registered nurse, caring for individuals with a
wide range of mental health conditions across different levels of care.
I provide medication management and psychotherapy for children ages 8 and older, adolescents, and
adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, mood disorders, emotional difficulties, and life
transitions. I am bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to provide care in the
language in which each patient feels most comfortable.
My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that helps patients gain symptom relief, develop
effective coping skills, better understand their emotions and behavioral patterns, and improve their
overall quality of life. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel
heard, respected, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we will take time to discuss your concerns, symptoms, personal history, current
stressors, relationships, daily functioning, and treatment goals. I will ask questions to better understand
your experiences and how they are affecting different areas of your life.
Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management,
psychotherapy, therapeutic interventions, coping strategies, lifestyle recommendations, or a combination
of approaches. My goal is to ensure that you feel comfortable, supported, and actively involved in your
care from the very beginning.
For children and adolescents, I also value collaboration with parents or caregivers when appropriate,
while creating a supportive environment where the young person feels heard and involved in treatment.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion and collaboration. I strive to create a
space where patients feel comfortable discussing difficult thoughts, emotions, and life challenges without
fear of judgment.
I believe in treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis, and I work closely with each patient to
develop realistic, personalized treatment plans based on their individual needs, goals, and circumstances.
As a bilingual provider fluent in English and Spanish, I am able to serve a diverse population and provide
culturally sensitive care while helping patients and families navigate their mental health journey with
understanding, respect, and evidence-based treatment.
