Dr. Yohana Beraki (she/her) joins our team as a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow after receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College, with a specialization in Children and Families. Dr. Beraki received her Master of Education in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Counseling from Boston University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Purdue University. Dr. Beraki has years of extensive experience serving children, adolescents and their families in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, schools, day programs, inpatient units and residential programs. Dr. Beraki believes evidence-based treatments are the gold standard and has robust training and certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Management Training (PMT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Modular Approach to Therapy for Children (MATCH), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). In conjunction with these modalities, Dr. Beraki utilizes a holistic, systemic framework to best serve the needs of each unique child and family. Dr. Beraki is committed to creating a safe, inclusive therapeutic space and incorporates individual and cultural differences every step of the way. She has provided individual, family and group therapy as well as school consultation, neuropsychological evaluations, supervision and training. Her areas of specialty include disruptive behavior disorders such as ADHD and ODD, anxiety-related disorders and parent-focused treatments.
