About Yoko Kotsuka

Yoko Kotsuka is a NYS licensed and board certified acupuncturist, graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science. After graduation, she started her career at a pain clinic where she had worked on a variety of cases including orthopedics, neurological issues, autoimmune disease, digestive problems and mental health issues. For most of the cases, she treats with unique palpation based Japanese style acupuncture. This style of treatment is to prioritize the cause (background) of the symptoms to work on rather than the patient's main complaint. And treating the background will improve not only the main complaint but also the various accompanying symptoms caused by it. She believes that no matter what your primary concern or where your pain location is, all the symptoms present in your body could be connected and affect each other, thus treating the whole body is crucial to achieve the best results. Yoko is originally from Japan and fluent in English and Japanese. In her free time, she likes to walk around nature, watch birds, and find good coffee places in the city.
