“I had Yuen as my midwife for the third time, and like the first two times it was the best decision I’ve made. She is always transparent, reassuring, confident, and overall so great at what she does, she is passionate and skilled. Having Family friendly midwife was very important to both her and I. We love her and her team and I promise you would too. Even after moving 40 miles away from my previous residence in Brooklyn; we were able to make it happen and have a beautiful successful homebirth. Another thing that separates her from the rest has to be the postpartum care, she follow up and makes sure everything with text, and optional zoom weekly check ins, which we’re so helpful and reassuring while experiencing the postpartum chapter.”

“I am a second time client. I had my first homebirth with Yuen in 2018. I've had many life changes since then and now. Found out I was pregnant earlier this year and knew immediately I wanted to work with Yuen again for this child. I moved back to NY temporarily so that I can be under her care.
Yuen is thorough, attentive, knowledgeable and approachable. I couldn't list all the reasons why she is such an excellent midwife. I delivered my third child with her recently and as expected, the home birth was perfect and the experience was seamless. If you are considering working with her, you wont be disappointed. ”

Yuen at TLC Midwife is truly the best of the best. From our very first call, her warmth, joy, and bedside manner made me feel like family. As a Chinese American midwife with a background in both hospital nursing and knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine, she gave me and my family the perfect balance of expertise and reassurance for my first home birth.
My labor was long and challenging, but Yuen and her team were calm, supportive, and thorough every step of the way. She presented options clearly, helped me feel safe through complications, and ensured I had the positive home birth I hoped for.
She’s also an IBCLC, which has been invaluable postpartum—each visit combines lactation support with check-ins for both me and my baby. I can’t imagine having gone through this journey with anyone else. If you want a knowledgeable, compassionate midwife who truly cares, Yuen is unmatched.

I cannot begin to explain how amazing Dr. Yuen is. She’s warm, kind, nurturing, selfless, and compassionate. I’ve never felt more seen or understood as a patient. She cares deeply about her patients, and has raised the bar in patient care. I wish more women could experience this level of care, because it makes a world of difference.she has an excellent team of women working alongside her, who make you feel welcomed as soon as you step foot in the office.

I can’t recommend Yuen Kwan Chan highly enough. She offered personalized care that made me feel empowered, informed, and seen. She supported us through every stage of our homebirth journey with confidence, compassion, and a calm presence that made all the difference on the big day.
She tailored everything to our needs—not just clinically, but emotionally too. Her guidance during labor was intuitive and grounded, and she respected our birth preferences while gently offering wisdom from her experience when it mattered most.
After the birth, her lactation support was just as invaluable. Breastfeeding didn’t come as naturally as I’d hoped, but she patiently helped me through the challenges with practical solutions and genuine encouragement. Her follow-up care made me feel supported, never rushed.
If you’re looking for a midwife who will stand beside you with skill, warmth, and respect for your choices, she is the one. Our experience was everything we hoped for—and more—because of her.

I’ve been with Yuen since 2019, and from the very beginning, she’s been nothing short of compassionate, trustworthy, and incredibly experienced. Although my first birth didn’t go as planned due to a premature delivery, Yuen supported me every step of the way. With my second, I finally experienced the peaceful home birth I had always hoped for—with Yuen by my side. Since then, she’s become more than just my midwife—she’s my primary care provider, my friend, and someone I deeply trust.
She’s recently expanded her care into aesthetics, helping busy moms feel refreshed and confident after birth. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with something as delicate as under-eye filler or Botox. Yuen’s experience and intuition—both in childbirth and aesthetics—are truly unmatched.

Dr. Yuen and her team are the absolute best!!! I after birthing both my kids with TLC Midwifery I can say I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences. Yuen is very knowledgeable and comforting and couldn’t recommend enough. I also go back for yearly checkups :)

The BEST healthcare I’ve received in NYC by far - it’s taken me nearly 10 years to find a provider like Yuen / practice like TLC to help me take care of myself holistically. From personalized testing, lifestyle + additional care recommendations, and a welcoming / comfortable environment the TLC Team truly cares for the whole human - their positive patient outcomes (at all stages/phases of one’s reproductive health) are proof. So happy a friend recommended to me, would recommend to anyone who is looking for better/ personalized healthcare in NYC!
