About Dr. Yusik Cho
Dr. Yusik Cho is a triple board-certified physician in Pain Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Sports Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Kyung Hee University College of Medicine in South Korea, followed by an Internal Medicine internship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the Bronx. He then completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, where he served as Academic Chief Resident.
Dr. Cho completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the Detroit Medical Center. He then practiced in private practice in South Korea, where he developed extensive experience in interventional pain management, performing more than 10,000 fluoroscopy- and ultrasound-guided injections over three and a half years. He later completed a Pain Medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he trained in advanced interventional spine and pain procedures.
Dr. Cho focuses on minimally invasive treatments to help patients reduce pain, restore function, and return to their daily activities without surgery whenever possible. His expertise includes epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, and nerve blocks performed under fluoroscopic guidance, as well as ultrasound-guided procedures and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. He also offers advanced neuromodulation therapies such as spinal cord stimulation (SCS) and peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS).
