Getting to know Dr. Zachary Kordik
Hello, I'm Dr. Zak Kordik, and thank you for your interest in my practice, Modern Mental Health. I specialize in treating mood and anxiety disorders as well as substance abuse and addictions in adults. I am experienced in recommending medications and/or therapy as effective tools for a successful treatment program, with every plan unique to each individual I meet with.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago. I completed my residency in Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center.

Dr. Kordik presented as a kind professional, but after I told him I that I smoked weed, he said something along the lines of, “I don’t agree that that’s going to help you, but that’s your decision.”
The next day I was served with discharge papers. He gave up on me for no good reason.
It’s important to be able to trust the psychiatrist you are working with, and Dr. Kordik is not that psychiatrist.

Dr. Kordik has been my psychiatrist for 5 years. He has always provided me with the best care and his recommendations have been absolutely life-changing for me. I highly suggest seeing Dr. Kordik for anyone who is looking for an empathic psychiatrist who is extremely knowledgable and more than willing to spend quality time to thoroughly understand my experiences and treat my symptoms. I have struggled since I was 16. At 33, I finally feel confident I can live a normal and successful life with contentment. So so grateful Dr. Kordik has been put in my life to guide me on this journey to recovery.
