Dr. Zachary Robinson, MD

Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
950 S Cherry St, Ste 1510, Denver, CO
As a board-certified psychiatrist, I specialize in medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions. My goal is to create a safe and inclusive environment where all patients can feel comfortable expressing themselves. My approach is collaborative, meaning we will work together to find a treatment plan that works best for you. I was born and grew up in rural New Mexico. I attended the University of New Mexico for my undergraduate studies and Northern Arizona University, where I earned my Master’s degree in Biology. I then moved to Denver, where I spent years in research before attending medical school at the University of Colorado, earning my Doctor of Medicine. I completed my psychiatry residency and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the same institution, earning board certification in both adult and child and adolescent psychiatry. During my medical training, I was a founder of a large student organization focused on improving community health and developing community gardens in Aurora neighborhoods. I also actively participated in research throughout my entire medical training. I served as Chief Fellow in my final year of fellowship and developed a passion for quality improvement. After fellowship, I accepted a position at Eating Recovery Center, where I spent two years treating patients with severe eating disorders. I was drawn to child and adolescent psychiatry because of my passion for helping children, adolescents, and families using a well-balanced psychiatric approach. I am currently the Medical Director of Adult Services at TMCA and enjoy working with a mixed caseload of child, adolescent, and adult patients. I also serve as the Director of Research and Quality Improvement for the residency program. When not working, I can be found enjoying the many outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer with my wife, three children, and dog.
