About Dr. Zena Joseph
Zena Joseph, MD, is a member of CareMed Primary and Urgent Care's Family Medicine team. She treats both adults and children for a wide range of medical issues but most enjoys focusing her expertise on women's health and pediatrics. Dr. Joseph earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George's University. She originally pursued a career in health care because she believes a life of service is truly fulfilling and enriching. She wants to be an advocate for our most vulnerable populations, and for her, that was best achieved through practicing medicine.
Dr. Joseph's philosophy on patient care is to ?look at the relationship between a doctor and patient as being a two-way street. You cannot develop rapport without trust, and you cannot trust each other unless you listen to the patient. I always try and ask open-ended questions and validate patients when appropriate,? she says.
Developing long-standing doctor/patient relationships is very important to her, as well as watching her pediatric patients grow into adolescence and adulthood. Dr. Joseph loves to see her patients thrive and become interesting individuals apart from their parents.
When not practicing medicine, she is a foodie and enjoys traveling to the best restaurants around the world. Dr. Joseph also sings, plays piano, and supports her children in their after-school activities.

I learnt the office opens at 9, so if it’s winter skip 9am appointment if you don’t travel by car. Everyone there is beyond nice and extremely efficient. The place is very accommodating and clean. As to the doctor, be prepared to smile so hard your face hurts. Clear on all fields in all ways possible. Truly precious experience to have and amazing people.

Navigating the American health care system is hell but it makes it so much easier having a Dr that actually listens and cares about you. I appreciate our appointments together very much and would highly recommend if you’re trying to find someone with a heart and not someone who’s just trying to cash out on you as a patient.
