Statistics on NPs and the chronic illnesses they help manage in California

The majority of the healthcare workforce are nurses. According to America's Health Rankings, 30.3% of adults in California were obese in 2020. Individuals whose Body Mass Index (BMI) equals or exceeds 30 or above are considered obese. Men (30.7%) were slightly more likely to be obese than women (29.8%) in the state.
