My first two visits have gone very well. Dr. Geller is a knowledgeable and compassionate psychiatrist who is very thorough.
He was professional and, in the limited time I spent with him, insightful. Seemed to genuinely care about people.
Wonderful doctor - really appreciate his insight and support, during our sessions and also outside the sessions

Our experience with Dr. Geller for our son was not a positive one. We felt judged and did not receive the care we thought we would receive from reading the reviews. We felt he rushed to prescribe medication to our son without actually listening to what we had to say. We felt as if he was shifting blame onto my husband and I without even asking appropriate questions to do a comprehensive assessment on our son and family situation. We felt very let down. Furthermore Dr Geller insinuated in front of our son that we didn’t seek help soon enough and that we were making him feel bad when describing his behaviors. His attitude didn’t create a healthy therapeutic environment. I would not recommend.

Dr. Geller truly cares about empowering his patients and expertly balances empathy and honesty. He is great at making you feel heard, providing insightful perspectives, and asking thought-provoking questions that leave you thinking well after the appointment has ended. Although I was nervous to try psychiatry, Dr. Geller was immediately disarming and sympathetic; I couldn't have asked for a better first experience. Our conversations have led me to life-changing realizations, and I feel far more able to take control over the issues I face than I did before I started seeing him. If you want a doctor who will truly listen to you, who will respond honestly and with sensitivity, and who will consistently be in your corner, then Dr. Geller is the person to see!

Dr.Geller took the time to get to know me as a patient. He is a great listener and adressed all of my concerns. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a mental health professional in the NYC area.

The appointment was via video and I was not sure that the doctor would engage well. I was pleasantly surprised. I believe that the doctors conclusion was spot on.

Best mental health professional I have consulted
I booked this appointment for my son and I see today a side of my son that I didn’t know. Only in 90 minutes. He knows what his doing, very professional.

My adult son met with Dr Geller and I was so impressed with his knowledge of ADHD, Tourettes, Anxiety and Depression. The first visit was so hopeful in treating my son. He had a great personality which was calming and caring. He took time with both of us and I have to say in the short time of speaking with me, I walked away with a better knowledge of boundaries. I am truly thankful that my son has found a psychiatrist that in my opinion will help him to lead a better life and see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much Dr Geller.
    Dr Geller is great!
    Very professional!
Very helpful and insightful advice for me relative to parenting my child. Likewise, Dr. Geller has a great rapport with my child who has become more comfortable sharing and expressing how he is feeling.
    Dr
While a very intuitive psychiatrist with a clear passion for his science, his fees are high so make sure you find out what they are before you go.
Dr. Geller is far an away the best psychiatrist I've seen over the course of about eight years and several different doctors. He's cordial and always timely. He has also made some very astute observations and recommendations that have helped me a great deal.
After several sessions over the winter, I found Dr Geller to be a psychiatrist who did not listen to my wants and needs as a person and patient, but rather asserted his own worldview and combated me on the things I was saying. When, during treatment for anxiety, I canceled last-minute because I was suffering the start of an anxiety attack related to a very off-putting last session and the prospect of meeting with him again, I received an email without a modicum of concern for why I may have needed to cancel, only concern for his schedule and a threat that he typically charges for "missed" appointments. Would not recommend at all.
Dr. Geller is a thoughtful and compassionate listener. He is knowledgable about medication options and does not try to 'prescribe' a problem away. He explains what different medications can do while being realistic about their limitations. He makes clear that medication gives a person 'tools' to help them work with illnesses therapeutically.
He is a very knowledgable Doctor
    thumbs up!
After years of avoiding therapy and a lifelong fear of medication... I called around to different psycologists/psychiatrists to get a feel for each one. I instantly felt comfortable with doctor Geller. He isnt pushy and he allows me to be a part of my treatment planning instead of prescribing things without giving me in depth knowledge about the various medication/therapy options. I see him for anxiety and can honestly say that my day to day life experience has become better thanks to Dr Geller 's thera
    Very helpful and
Great doctor, will see him again
    Wonderful doctor, very thoughtful.
Wonderful doctor, he really takes his time, is very good at his work and seems to care a great deal about his patients. I've been shopping around for a good psychiatrist for a couple of months now, and he beats them all by a mile.
