Our team includes providers with advanced training, including a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the City University of New York, Graduate Center.     I have been to several therapists, and Dr. Shepard is the best one that I've seen. She has a very grounded presence that immediately makes you feel safe and at ease. She is very empathetic and sensitive, in a way that feels very sincere. She also demonstrates an excellent balance of being supportive and when i need to share something, but then being more direct and offering suggestions when necessary. And she has a wonderful sense of humor, which can be especially helpful in giving a new perspective on situations that are feeling stuck. I recommend Dr. Shepard highly to anyone who values caring, sensitivity, insightfulness and thoughtfulness in their therapist.
