What should a new client know about working with you?

During the last 25 years of training and experience, I have built up an incredible array of techniques including EMDR, Hypnotherapy / NLP Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to empower people to take the reigns of their own conscious and unconscious minds so that they can become the person they want to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I do an initial intake history, assessment and then provide feedback about my treatment goals and plans to the client, in a collaborative manner so that we mutually agree on the goals of therapy. I also map out the terms of the commitment in terms of treatment schedule, time commitment, any "homework" in between sessions, etc. I very much see therapy as a collaborative / teamwork effort between myself and my clients. I can not make anyone feel better without their consent and their own initiative. That said, I have been known to help people overcome difficult situations and move forward independently with the new skills and perspectives they have acquired during therapy with me. I use a variety of techniques including EMDR, DBT, CBT, Hypnotherapy , Internal Family Systems and somatic modalities as well. I integrate all of my skills and training into a customized therapy model for each client's unique personality, time and place in their lives.
