Allison Grendzinski, LCSW, is flexible, supportive, and engages meaningfully with clients. She takes the time to understand each client's journey and meets them where they are to overcome challenges.
Allison serves clients of all ages struggling with mild to severe depression and anxiety, ADHD, foster care, adoption, and more. She is especially skilled at treating mood, psychotic, and anxiety disorders. Additionally, Allison has extensive experience working with people who are at high risk or in crisis situations and provides family therapy.
In therapy, Allison tailors her treatment to meet individual needs. She uses a strengths-based approach and incorporates CBT, DBT, mindfulness, play therapy, and more to help clients identify natural supports and situational or systemic barriers. In every case, Allison works with clients to create a plan that empowers them to learn how to utilize skills independently.
Allison earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her career experience includes supporting patients in long-term and acute hospital settings as well as providing support in the community. She is also skilled at working with domestic violence survivors and had the privilege to complete her bachelor-level internship with a private foster care and adoption agency.
